the nurburgring is good fun. sofar i've only driven it with the rwd lotus you get when you 1st start the game. this one has alot more undulations. the Last really long straightaway is alot more hilly than the one in gran turismo. i dont know if thats more or less realistic but it sure is fun

that depends on the time...

this version of the nordschleife is based on the 1967 version of grand prix legends. back then, the d?ttinger h?he straight was indeed very hilly, like you can see in this picture from an old alpina advertisement:
http://img25.imageshack.**/img25/2043/alpinaschleife3yk.th.jpg

however, the version in grand prix legends was designed relatively roughly by hand after maps, while the version in gran turismo was designed with the help of gps. thus the gt4 version is overall more realistic, although the difference between the two is marginal...

for the contrast, a pic of today:

you dont notice the hills in gt4 that much though :). if i remember correctly, they are barely there.
thx for hte pics and explanation

:EDIT: with my system i can run the game at 1240x1024 with aa and af
max graphics settings.
my monitor is VGA only so AA and af dont make much of a difference in visual clarity. DVI is the way to go when it comes to LCD monitors
sempron 3000+ at 2.3ghz (512k L2 cache)
windows xp 32bit cus my cpu is 32bit...
768mb ram @ 190fsb
Sapphire Radeon X800GTO AGP 256mb w/ 16 pipes
11gigs of free space on my 60gig hard drive

DFP is broken so i use a ps2 controller. I have to say its alot easier with a wheel. drift control is very hard with a controller... Its not impossible though.

This is a fun game. The controls are a bit wonky, even with my 360 controller. Its gonna take me a while to get everything down. I think I may pick it up when it comes out.

GOSH I WISH I HAD A PROPER COMPUTER! Will this game ever see life on a console??

More pics of the Nurburgring if you can please (in game).

OT

jayjaya, how do you find the 360 contoller ?

My copy didnt arrive today and I'm playing the demo to death, the incar view is better than any other game I've ever played ! Feet are synchronised to the pedals !

the game is GT legends? what is WIP? do i get the nurburg in gt legends? or do i need some addon?

the tracks still got a few cosmetic bugs. :) its great fun to drive though. if you've driven it alot in other games it wont take long to get used to the race line. :) its nice to drive it in a game with physics more realistic though. its missing bumps in a few areas but its still fun. a great experience
