Other Random Car Sightings [Photo Required]

Ok, here's some I've had on my cellphone for a while now. I thought I finally just got around to uploading them now :)

All these pictures are of cars that are EXTREMELY uncommon where I live (Portland, OR)

Here's a Lotus coming up and passing me

Here's a Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole that I saw in a suburban Safeway gas station of all places

http://img56.imageshack.**/img56/7216/picture287yy.jpg
http://img56.imageshack.**/img56/2303/picture355cx.jpg

Here's a nice Viper I saw parked at some crappy little alignment shop a couple blocks from my work in an industrial part of town. It kind of blew my mind seeing it there
http://img98.imageshack.**/img98/8531/picture271zp.jpg

And finally, here's a nice Porsche that passed me one day when I was coming home from a class
http://img98.imageshack.**/img98/7947/copyofpicture189ul.jpg
http://img98.imageshack.**/img98/84/copyofpicture178mm.jpg

Then there's a couple others that I couldn't take pictures of because I was shocked that the sight of them and forgot to get my cell phone out. Those being a Maserati Quattroporte and a Ferrari 360 CS

Dude, I hope those have been on your phone since the summer. Weather looks extremely agreeable in Oregon.

 Think you're right. I had a look at some pictures, and the tail-lights don't look like a 612. Thanks for pointing that out.

456s are quite cool GT 2+2 Ferraris. I saw this dark grey one by Lambo dealer on West 2nd and Burrard(Spet 2005), it had Tubi exhausts, very very loud.

On same day, saw this on little street by Burrard.

Well whenever I see a nice exotic pass by, I just rev my puny 2.0 litre engine and pretend I'm driving a navy blue F430... it helps a little bit. Yeah, I'm gay...

Atleast you have a 2.0, not 1.6 or 1.3. But yeah, you're gay... :D

J/K buddy.

To the rims on the Merc.

Those are the same rims you would see on a barely running 80's honda or something. Not on a brand new Merc.

I have a BIG gripe when it comes to people fitting non-factory spec rims onto production cars. They are built to be admired in their natural/production state, especially cars like this. I couldn't care less if its something like a WRX or RX-7 but not Mercs.

It disgusts me (especially at MBWorld) how many people are fortunate enough to own such a beutifull car like a CLS and then they slap on God-awefull PIMP rims on them. There are countless cases like that.

/END RANT

I hate that too and I agree with you, but man, why are you so obsessed with Mercs?

Well, sometimes, rarely, a good car will be saddled with really ugly rims.

Sure, they help cool the brakes more efficiently than the stock wheels, but yikes! They look like hubcaps! :?

And in other news, I saw a black CLS drive past me. Man, those look infinitely better in person. It's not as low in real life, so it looks leaner and meaner than the whale the pictures make it out to be. What a great-looking car!

Just one of those things - Mercs started my obsession with cars when I was a little under 4-yrs old when it practically saved my life in a crash. Also, my family has had a loong history with them so it was kinda in the blood. Also, one of my earliest life memories was sitting in the old 500SL at a dealership. We also own Mercs.

One thing led to another and now I love em' and will defend em' no matter what. Its good to have an obsession with something I rekon.

I reckon the opposite - why limit yourself to a specific brand of anything? Especially cars? Enjoy them all and don't put your support behind them no matter what.

My family used to be exclusively Mercedes as well, but fortunately I've managed to change that mindset.

No no I don't "limit" myself by any means. I LOVE heaps of brands. Trust me I do - You should see my room as an example of my love of many other manufactures. But in simple english, my favourite brand is MB for the reasons listed before.

It was figure of speech ;)

Yes MB is my favourite brand but I don't back them if they do something stupid. Believe me on that one, I don't support the fact that our E-Class spends so much time in the 'shop than with us on the roads. Part of an obsession with something is being a bit of a loyalist. Like your favourite football team or whatever. They might go through a dryspell but part of obsessing in them in the first place is the fact that you are going to stay with them no matter what results they get and make sure you see them through til they are back on-form.

Damnit I swear I took a pic of a black Cayenne but I forgot to press "save pic" quick enough :( Oh well...who likes the looks of it anyways :p

Yeah, it pissed down royally tonight. Luckily I got someone else to drive - me and rain and driving don't get along that well.
