this weekend there was a old timer/kit car happening not far from my home, so of course i had to go have a look, and took a lot of pics. have no idea what half of the cars are, maybe someone else might be able to name them (mautzel?)
most part of the cars were for sale, there were also a lot of stands with genuine old timer parts, or with new rubbers, chromed bolts, ....

EDIT: i forgot to post some photos. there was a stand there of a belgian importer of mini z-kits. have no decent pic of one of the cars there so nicked these 2 from their website
monte5.jpg

monte6.jpg

you can get them in 2 versions, one where you start with a mini, install rollcage and suspension and move an engine to the back, they could deliver it with a civic type R engine, but any engine will fit
the second version is a complete frame with fibreglass body, with bike engine (chaindriven), also in the back.
they claim that the assambly will be able to handle up to 400bhp
both were available as a pre-assambled kit, or as do-it-yourself. the first version is even roadlegal

the original design is from the 30s (Mercedes SSK) but the car is from the 70s or 80s .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excalibur_(automobile)

sth old = MG TC, late 1940s

First thought of a Fiat Dino Coupe, then of an earlier Jensen Interceptor, but it is neither of them (Will be further investigated)
Afb020.jpg

sth VERY old = Don't know exactly what it is (though that hood ornament is strangely familiar to me), something American from the very late 1930s or the early 1940s EDIT: 1935 - 1936 Packard

group A E30 - that's not an E30, but a racing version of the 635Csi as far as I an see

again, sth old = Looks American again, mid 1930s, rather upper class for its time EDIT: might be a 1934 Buick
Afb036.jpg

(bel air?) That's without a doubt a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible

corvette (C4?, stingray?) Corvette Stingray, 1973 or younger

EDIT: jaguar MKII - already correct, just to name my favourite of the bunch

sth old = Don't know exactly again (bloody similar looking pre-war cars :)), should be origined mid - late 1920s

EDIT: sunbeam alpina - please edit again, that's a Sunbeam Alpine!

heavy looking vette = Bodykits

Pre-1973 Corvette Stingray
Afb067.jpg

some car = Aston Martin DBS

cool merc = SL (W107? - dunno about Merc codes)

another one =190SL

sth a bit rusty = Could be a Citroen from 192x

(volvo?) Volvo 66 (DAF in disguise :))
Afb095.jpg

an ass, and it's front = Chevrolet Corvair: RWD with engine in the back

cool car = Don't let Jeremy hear that, it's a Rover (P6 3500?)

sth with fishtails = 1959 Cadillac

(opel?) (Olympia) Rekord P1

funny car = Renault 4CV - Beetle of France!

old timer tractors The first one is a Lanz Bulldog

and as last, sth unknown again = MGB with Bodykit

Ooooh, sooo many nice cars, hope I could help you with a few :) (Thanks for sharing and reminding me to look up the dates of vintage car events in my area this year)

I'll need some time to work on the older ones, though.

a very cool VOLVO
Afb125.jpg

In order:

1) '57 Chevy

2) Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C3 - late)

3) Chevrolet Corvette (C4) obvious modifications

4) Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C3 - early) with a Corvette Stingray (C2) in the background.

5) The Volvo badge is unmistakeable, unsure the type of Volvo.

6) Chevrolet Corvair

7) It looks like the Chevrolet Impala. It was a whale back in it's day.

8) Volvo 1800 ES...I saw one of these for sale at the Turkey Run here in Daytona for about $6,000...it was red. I really wanted it...

gah! Matzuel got in while I was doing my answers...

Well, I'll give him the Caddillac, but I have to disagree with the first corvette. It's a later model C3 putting it towards the end of the '70's possibly early 80's

The whiter car is the Opel Rekord again!

And YF19pilot, I don't agree with your No.7 :)

Won't argue with the Corvette, all I could do was take the front bumper as an indication (the chrome thing on it disappeared with the 1973 models, so it might be anything until 1983/4 indeed)

 made the changes

has anyone ever seen such an E190 cabrio before? was a first for me, looked great from every angle, and the guy stated that it's the only one in belgium

and does anyone know some more about the citroen roadster thingy?

and look at the front suspension on the mercedes 500SEC, i think it had no engine (never seen the car before btw)

and i forgot to post some pics of a z mini, added them in now

Afb020.jpg

mautzel, are you sure it isn't a Fiat Dino?

Pretty much, the Dino Coupe has a bigger hood and the Dino Spider is much lower and curvier (hope you know what I mean - sudden lack of vocabulary!)

It looks either Italian or British to me, I also though that it might be a one off as well because I can find quite a few pictures of similar looking cars but nothing that really matches it.

Bone - you can add the 1934 Buick and the 1935 Packard as well if you like, I'm pretty sure especially with the Packard. Judging by the grille, your "whitest car" is a Packard as well.
