Well, after doing a video, and having a closer look at the skins while racing, i realized I wasn't happy with the outcome. So I started playing around a bit.

Anyway, this isn't final yet, I'm still playing around and I'd like to hear some suggestions. :)

PS: I'd like the change to be only on the upper part of the car, and by upper I don't mean only the roof, but basicaly what you'd see from a top view, because in the skin file that's one piece and I don't have to reallign or rematch parts across several body panels.
 
Superb stuff pdanev. You know how I felt about the old skin but this one is just fantastic.

One thing though. Why don't you add a big number on the bonnet so you can see who you're up against ? Wouldn't look to shabby aswell. ;)

Ahhh, yes, just noticed....that explains it. I didn't think the game was at that level yet ;)
 
Peter: While the new attempt at the skin looks great, its also very...busy on the hood. Honestly you hit the nail on the head with first design; clean and simple. :)
 
Well I wasn't entirely happy with the king crown/circus design on the bonnet, of the new attempt. So I went back to the "drawing board", and redid some stuff.

Swek, number would be an option as well, but for recognizing people we "customize" the white part of the skin, as well as the thing red line. I don't know all the number of everyeone, but I know ESPN is gold, MXM green, FF orange etc. ;)

Anyway, what do you guys think about this version?
 
It looks like a pair of pants when the hood is viewed from the top :p Just so you know.

It's cool but i still think two stripes would work well, even if it had to be integrated to one strip for simplicities sake on the FOX and such.

*Edit* That is, not the American pants (trousers), but the more British pants.

Now that you mention it, looks like a pair of undies :D

But I wouldn't have thought of that until you said it. The skin looks really good, but I think a solid hood/bonnet color would look better.

It's starting to look really good :thumbsup:

But I think there's some work to be done in the bonnet area.
 
Number on the roof it not a problem at all, I thought of that as well but forgot to put it on, will look good on videos from upper cam. :)

So noone likes the latest design? :(

Should it be more busy? I tried putting a gear logo there, didn't like that. I could also put Team Finalgear on the bonnet, but that would be too many team finalgear text all over the car.

Well, I'll have to think of something new apparently... :think:
 
No no, it looks good. Better than the stripe.

But yeah, i think it could use something in the middle of the hood. You're right that another 'Final Gear' text would mean there was too many. Could you post up a picture of it with the gear logo on there to see how it looks? I think it'd look neat.
