Problem with [8x01] TopGear doesnt work on standalone player

The latest episode of TopGear from the new season [8x01] has been encoded in a manner that I can no longer play on my standalone player XVid/DivX MediaGate MG-35 player.

All previous topgear episodes have been fine.

what is different in this encoding?

Download and install VLC Media player and let us know if that works.

Sounds more like a codec or encoding issue that the MG-35 doesn't like, rather than an issue with the PC - I'm guessing the file plays fine on his PC.

tvrfreak - The only thing I can suggest is to try different firmware versions for unit - you may find one that works.

Magnet has an MG-35 - perhaps PM him and see if he has the same problem?

I may have found the fault of the problem its related to audio/video interleaving!!

I used virtualdubmod to fix the problems following this instruction as seen on this web forum:
