I need a couple of derivatives

1.
12.921e^-0.26578x
FIND THE DERIVATIVE
2.
(97)/(1+311e^-0.68x)
FIND THE DERIVATIVE
thanks!!!

FOR 1: the derivative is -3.43414338e^-0.26578x
2: i think you have to substitute :p hehe I had pure maths long time ago now!

1. d/dx ( a * e^ (bx) ) = a * b * e ^ (bx)

2. d/dx ( a / [ b + c * e ^(fx)] ) = [-1 * a * c * f * e ^(fx)] / [b + c * e^(fx) ]^2

Where everything but x is a constant.

1:

12.921 * (-0.26578) * e^(-0.26578x) = -3.43414338 * e^(-0.26578x)

2:

-97 * (1 + 311 * e^(-0.68x) )^-2 * 311 * e^(-0.68x) * -0.68 = (20514 * e^(-0.68x)) / (1 + 311 * e^(-0.68x))^2

EDIT: damn, I type slow :)

Just remember the silly sounding quotient rule:

d / dx [ High / Low ] = (Low D High - High D Low ) / (Low*Low) :p

(where High and Low are functions of x)

lol...
thats how we learn derivatives in USA
LO D HIGH- HIGH D LO OVER LO LO
lol

You're Asian, do it yourself. :p

Weird math indeed. Is low/high referring to nominator/denominator? :?

low is a function and so is high, both in terms of x. High is in the numerator, Low in in the denominator.

So yes.

I will not be helping you with this problem.
Well that was the most pointless post ever unless you were just trying to create a reaction which, as your probably a lonely middle aged man with no friends, is quite likely.
