Tweaking Bad jpegs... for fun.

Just decided to tweak this Alpina B10 BiTurbo I found online. Something to do this morning before I get into the homework.

I so love the BiTurbo... but I'll settle for the M5 when I start working.
 
What effects did you use to do that?

Orig File + New Layer w/Levels to bring out shadows + New Sky Photo on Layer.

Each layer was gradient blended. I should have used a channel mask for the trees and behind the car... and since I didnt it looks like poo. :) I used the gradient map instead.

I think I'll play with the map and see if I can make that better. Ok, I did:

I screwed with the blue channel mask (any tips you choppers?) for the sky mask, made the shadow lighter (its now a cloudy shot) and darkened the shadow detail. I can't really fix the flair but for what it is.

The things I do when I have homework. :)

The clouds and sky look worse in this one
 
Dosn't feel connected? What makes it feel wrong? I'll give it another try when I get home today.
 
keep the sky from the first one, but the rest from the second attempt
