My S2000

Great choice!
Another great weight saver is a single exit exhaust...depending on the manufacturer, you can shed ~20-30 pounds by replacing the dual exhaust. ;)

Yeah, I had a full Ti Exhaust before, but I sold it to get a new desktop. Super loud and just full out eye candy... Sadly the GF didn't like it, so I sold it for a new computer. And she wishes I still had the exhaust cause i'm playing WoW more lol.

I had the JIC Ti Exhaust and the weight of that thing was just crazy. I can bench that sucker hundreds of times on my pinky. I'm looking at a HKS ehaxust but we'll see if I do deiced to go SC or am also toying with ITB's

I'm toying with the idea of getting the wheels spray painted shiny black. I wanted to do something to my car so they might be it that can hold me over till I can afford some cool stuff... Any opinions? If i don't like it I can always strip off the paint.

If you take some time to thoroughly prep the wheels, you can get some very good results...just make sure to strip the wheels with Aircraft Stripper first.

I'd stay NA, but if you are looking for a SC; go with the Comptech. A good friend of mine installed one nearly a year ago; still hasn't had a single problem with it. Extremely reliable.

yeah I'm on S2ki (3 years now) and I seen all the pictures of black OEM wheels...just don't know if I should do it or not. I may just do a side and see how it comes out.

Yeah, comptech is my first choice for a SC. Or I may just stroke it to 2.3 or 2.4 and get a nice 265whp and some 4.57gears..mmm can't beat NA =D

If you're gonna paint them, either clean and use paint adhesive stuff over the stock finish, or sandblast them. Trying to get the finish off yourself is nearly impossible. Powdercoating also looks great, about $150 a wheel though

I painted the wheels on my Miata and CRX with just a rattle can:

I'd keep it N/A too, but with ITBs. check out this S2000:

why u rolling stock rims lol...
get some lighter ones it'll increase tracktimes (decreasing rotational weight)

Not just rotational weight, but unsprung weight. 1lbs unsprung = 1.5lbs sprung when it comes to handling.

Right now, spending thousands of dollars on wheels isn't on top of my list. I'll get some in the future, but I'd like use that money on a few other things that would help it greatly when I do get some wheels. Which I'm thinking Advan RGII's in gold *drool* or the Enkei's i posted above *more drool*

Vitamin J - Nice job on the wheels. I painted my Turbo 240sx's wheels gunmetal before, so I already got an idea on how to prep my wheels. We'll see how it goes if I do it. Yeah I know a local guy here in Orlando, Fl that just got his ITB's put in. Freakin badass. But it is expensive for 20hp in the mid-range and for the same price I can get the comptech SC. We'll see thou. Right now going to have some fun with some suspension stuff.

ITBs sound soooo sick though, it'd be worth it just for the sound! And throttle response, torque, and tuning via throttle body length, that's hardcore.

I thinks there is absolutely nothing wrong with those stock rims. They fit very well.
But hey what's a coilover? I'm looking at the pics but cannot really get it :)

coil is a dirty word, at first i thought that was a word used for springs, but when reading texts about engines you'll find it written everywhere.

and i came to the conclusion that everything which looks like a spiral, is called a coil

Love the S2000...unfortunately I don't really fit 6`1

I'm 6foot and I fit fine...

bartboy9891 - With a SC I'm looking around 300hp to the wheels. All depends on what dyno your using. If you make it breathe more with a aftermarket Exahust manifold, exhaust, and test pipe you'll make another 10-20hp. All depends
