The "New Toys" Thread

I'm too lazy to take a picture myself, this is what I bought yesterday:

I just love it  Too bad it means I have to retire and sell my old "work horse", the Nikon D1X... If I had the money, I'd definately keep it.

Not..........jealous...........at..........all  !!!!!!!
Thats my next camera after my D70s (or the D200s)

Don't be too jealous, I currently owe 2000 euros to my father :p The camera cost 1800e (body + battery grip + extra battery + 4GB Extreme III CF) and the 200e was for other expenses... And I made a deal to pay him back during this year, I'll finish my school at the beginning of june and after that I start to get paid for the work I do already (for now, it's the final part of my education, so I don't get any money from it, which sucks).

Well I have been meaning to post here for a while about the new toys I have gotten over the last couple of months so now that my big new toy has finally arrived I though I would actually do it.

My new TV, 50" Pioneer plasma.

My godson dancing to The Wiggles on the new TV.

My gaming area with my Samsung 32" LCD, Wii and 360.

My 80cm Loewe, which is now in my bedroom.

My new phone, iMate JasJam.

And last but not least, after an almost 6 month wait, being screwed around by the dealer, them delivering a car with the completely wrong interior colour, stripping all their multimillion dollar government fleet contract away from the dealership and instead dealing directly with Holden, they finally delivered my Holden VE Calais V.

Would love one of those for my 1950pro, it has shit loud cooling :(

Anyway, my new toy, last major socket 939 upgrade, a Opteron 175. Dual core goodness.

Overclocked a small bit:

Wii wants to play

This thing is just too much fun. Zelda is fantastic, nothing beats looking like a mental patient while flailing your arms around as you hack up monsters. Wii sports on the other hand is incredibly fun when you have groups of people over especially drunk chicks. This thing really is for everyone.

That bag looks nice Cosworth! (Might consider something like that as well now)

I just got my new camera yesterday :D (after DHL lost the initial sending two weeks ago I decided not to take any risks any more and pick up another one by myself at the dealer)

Couldn't get much into it yet, so far I like it pretty much!

A nikon !!!?? Hang your head in shame ... lol !

Its a great bag, so many neat little compartments, includes a laptop case and compartment aswell as room for my pencils, pantone markers, scalpels and other sharp pointy things !

Tried the D350 of my cousin before and found out that I couldn't really hold it firmly - I know that the built quality is quite good but doubt that it'd survive constantly being dropped. :)

Nah, main reason to go Nikon was my father's collection of Nikon lenses that he still has got from his Nikon SLR - I'll post them later on in the "What's your camera equipment" thread if anybody's interested.

As for the bag I'll have a look at dealers around as I'd prefer to see them before buying one, but from what I saw at their homepage they come in close consideration.

Got a Crumpler bag for my camera (Nikon edition :D ) after I've read in different threads in the photography section that the brand is recommendable - it's relatively small but I don't have loads of camera equipment yet, so I get everything in I want to.
