I searched the forums and didn't find a similar topic. Basically I'm wondering if you guys could relive a certain decade of cars, which would it be?

My vote would be for the 60's.

Oh and add pictures of the generation you favor if you'd like.

Here are just a couple of my favorites, can't upload em all since I'm at school right now.

If you restrict yourself to new cars from those decades, I'd go out on a limb and choose the 90s. As soon as everyone pulled out of the ridiculously tacky 80s, they did mostly great jobs on everything: Mercedes 500E and E55, second-generation M5, VW Corrado, every turbocharged Japanese sporty coupe, the last of the Camaros and Firebirds, F355, Diablo, and the rebirth of Alfa and Maserati. This might be because I was growing up during the 90s, but I never knew of half those cars while I was in the 90s, so that must say something.

Sixties, fantastic style, and some real breakthroughs in automotive technology but pre-gas crisis. Also, no EPA.

I'm with Labcoatguy. The 90's did have a lot of great and really fast cars. And stuff it with traction control!

I'd take the 80's mostly because of some of the outrageous supercars that came up, and also because of the Group B rally car descendants.

The sixties, by far.

1930s, although the 1960s come pretty close.

Just a few diamonds from that time:

The 80's of course! Due to two reasons.

1: Group B rally cars
2: The totally insane supercars
Oh, a 3rd: The Porsche 959

A bit hard to say, seeing as we've already had cars from from each era, and we've lived the present as well, seeing what can be done with technology. I think with a lot of things we tend to idealise everything, and forget the reality.

It would be like looking back on today twenty years from now, thinking how awesome the 2000s were because of the Veyron.

I dunno though, 50's and 60's are really close for me but I chose 50's because of the vette. Also I just want to go back to the dinner era in America and be hung up in the car culture.
