It's a controvercial game. It looks good, runs smooth on any 2-3y/o performance videocard. It's interesting to play, it has Diablo feeling in it & a good humour, but there are a few problems:
1. To really compete with modern games's gfx, you gotta play it on Dx10, so it looks a lil better, than on dx9. But then you need Vista & it's a huge pain in the...
2. The game (beta & demo) has almost NO character vioce acting, random phrases mostly.
3. 90% of all the playable zones are pretty small and/or narrow. Game lacks some huge fields, streets, areas etc.
4. If you are interested in realism there isn't much to go by. Weapon recoil is almost not there, movements are kinda creepy, characters are not really connected to the terrain.
5. It needs more class abilities & loot balance. No idea about the final version, but the beta atm has quite a lot of bugs. You can even spot 3-5 in the demo.
6. Animations are quilte boring & look too simple. When you're playin' a "Kill 1000 zombies for a Meat Factory with a Minigun" game, you want some mad & dangerously beautiful effects.
7, Physics are "strange". There's a lot of rebound (ricochet) from the walls. You can just find the proper angle & kill the Boss guy by shooting in the wall. All the rebound bullets will hit the same spot.
8. That 10$ Fee sounds like a Ripoff. It's becoming a very popular formula. Don't pay, but you'll never hit the max level, or it will take 5 years, or you will never find some X quality items, won't be able to get the latest addons & so on.
Now gettin back to the GOOD stuff.
- All the RPG elements are there & properly distributed.
- Nothing is overcomplicated. There aren't any 100 different stats list for you to chose from. Simple 4 stat system, simple skill tree, very Diablo-like.
- Interface is very easy & functional, which is very rare in modern games, espec. MMORPGs with 1000 addons & 10 different windows.
- Multiplayer is very interesting & challengin'.
