BMW M3 Sedan Renderings

Very busy styling - I dunno. The hood scope is out of place, and the rear bumper / diffuser is UGLY - . The airdamn looks nice and agressive (but I pity any small animal it hits) and I am totally with Blind_IO on the side vent; the side sills however are trying too hard. Plus I think the damn near painted on low profile tires take away from the look (but if they actually benefit performance I don't give a damn)
 
Looks good. It looks like a mini M5.

I know some people complained about the rear end (BODYWORK) - well its super aggressive and I like that. Not sure about the spoiler on top of the rear window though...looks a bit tacky, IMO.

As for the rear lights - they look shit on regular 3-Series' that you see on every street corner but they look ok on the M3. Not bad but not German, IMO.

The M3 was never really a wolf in sheep's clothing. That's more of an M5 thing. (Ofcoarse that has gone to hell now, the e60 M5 sticks out like a sore thumb) I mean look at the e30 M3, it looked much more aggresive than the regular e30, with the flared fenders.

I am really liking this. Really aggressive, that's the way I like it. I like it better than the coupe.

Yup, they are. They're gonna fix the one thing I couldn't stand about the current sedan...the front end. The back isn't all that great either, but I can live with it.

All the body cladding looks bad. I specially hate the sills and the rear bumper. Way too 2fast2furious for a German sedan
 
whoa :blink: I really hope this rendering is far from the truth, it looks like whoever designed the thing has been watching too much fast&furious movies...

come on people it?s an M3, it doesn?t need to look fast, it needs to BE fast! (which I?m sure it is)

the E30 M3 was from the good old days when there were still real road cars racing in the DTM... then the E36 was perhaps a bit too much like the regular coupe. They got it just right with the E46, it stood out from other 3-series, but it wasnt really in your face that much, lovely car...

I spent about an hour staring at the final prototypes in the Regensburg factory, and I just don?t get the design of the new M3 at all, it?s just a tad too much of everything... I mean the sound is fantastic, and I?m sure it?s gonna be just as awesome to drive as it?s predecessors, but it?s simply stopped being a car that I?d desire to own myself....
 
Its an M3? Who cares what it looks like? "ultimate driving machine" not "ultimate eye candy"

I agree with you there, BMW's have always been sorta ugly-but-manly...

BUT, this new 3 series look sorta like they wanted to make them pretty,
and then fucked up with the design. Half-assed.
 
they spoiled the 3 series when they decided to put the seat rear lights on it...

Completely agree with everyone about the rear lights, this is the first M3 that I haven't fallen in love with, did they hire a Japanese designer to do the back?

They need to get rid of 'em and fit the Coupe lights on.
 
How long until BMW puts in a shaker hood?
 
The front looks way better with the coupe-like headlights.
The back still looks stupid. :(
 
RS$ > that any day. how could BMW even try and ruin something as cool as the M3 badge with a 4 door saloon car. its like mixing a good drink and then adding cat piss. :barf: doesnt work.
