I almost fell asleep looking at that. Is it even possible to make a car look any more boring than that ? This makes the current 3-series look like a hot rod. Especially the 3rd picture is just awful...I know that german car industry isn't actually renowned for making exciting and passionate cars but this really is a new low.

You know in computer games where you drive around a city and there are generic AI cars?

It's one of those.

It's managed to look worse than the 1-seires hatch. BMW, just take the damn hint and drop it, its production machinery and everyone involved in its concept off a cliff. Let's all pretend it never happened.

Wow, I didn't know 'Bland' was part of the BMW design language, seems I was wrong.

I bet this is just a ploy by bmw to make people buy their bigger more expensive cars!

I actually think it looks like a mini 3 series coupe, besides they will most likely stick the engine from the 335i in it and just like that we have a modern 2002 turbo.

I don't know why, but it reminds me (specially in the back) to a Dacia Logan but only with more curves. Whichs tell you the level of interest I have with the car. Booooring...

Completely agree. I think it says it all :p

Makes a Toyota Corolla look like a Zonda

Anyone else think it looks around the same size as an E30 3 series?
Reminds me of the "Supersize Me" thing.

BTW: Looks boring, even Opels are more interesting than that.

we have a modern 2002 turbo.

And there is the reason this car matters, I've been screaming for a current day 2002 or e30. I want to see the 320SI engine under the hood. Without that heavy six under the hood, the weight would be under 3000lbs I bet, and easier to balance, allowing for even more weight savings.

Is BMW still planing to bring this and the 1 series 'vert to the US?

The currently available 130 is actually shorter than the E30 (by roughly 5-10 inches depending on year) while it's wheelbase is bigger by 3 inches.

It may be boring to look at, but if it's as fun to drive as an E30, I want one.

Then somebody lock this one up.

On a side note, This is still on WCF's front page.

M1?

It makes the new Impreza look agressive.

saw that awile back while at Car and Driver offices, it reminds me of a rejected hyundia concept or something
