DTM, where you can hear the most brutal sound out of a car. Seriously, the sound the cars make it's painful!!! But it doesn't matter because it's one of the biggest motorsport event I've ever seen.

I went to see it last year when it came to "El circuit de Catalunya" in Barcelona.

Here i've got some of the pictures i got there:

The next two photos were taken actually during the start of the race. Being right there with the sound of those engines ready to race was great!!

I really recommend to anyone who can get a cheap flight to Barcelona to come in September and see the DTM because it really is something different.

Sweet man, i went to the one at Brands Hatch last year and it was awesome!

Thinking about going to one in Germany this year, possibly at the Eurospeedway.

I love DTM. My only complaint would be the lack of manufacturers. Not long now...the waiting ends this Sunday. :)

Yeah! I agree 100% with you. I wish there were more manufacturers like at the beginning of the DTM championships. For example it would be great to see BMW.

I'm really looking forward to September to be able to see this year's championship!

The 2001 Opel gullwing Coupe was an awesome car. Shame Opel are out.

By the way, what happened to V8star? I was at castle combe once and somebody brought this into the GT car race.

It destroyed everything on the track and sounded awesome.

I love DTM as well but I don't really think two manufacturers is enough. When Opel pulled out we got damn close to seeing an MG-Rover on the grid. Shame they went bust before it could happen

I'd like to see Jaguar enter. The S-Type or the X-Type would be great.

Ekstr?m kicked ass! :D I really hope he can take the title this year.

A good race, aside from that mess at the start. Ekstrom out-strategerized everyone else. :D Audis in the top 2 spots at Hock...hmm...
Oh btw, what the hell is going on in this picture?

Hi guys
I am from Denmark and a fan of Tom Kristensen
He crashed this weekend on Hockenheim
He is okay
But I'd like to see the race
Do you know where I can find ans watch the race?
Thanks a lot

I was at castle combe when that V8 star thing was there. I go to most of the meets and it has been there a couple of times. It never won when i was there tho.

Looked good tho!

You can get the race from www.racing-underground.com they are all torrent files. Can anyone upload it to rapidshare? I live in university halls and they block torrent downloads

Great racing. Props to the safety cells of the DTM cars.

Hey mrshoaib

thanks very much for the link.

i cant downloade via that website, i tried to register but somehow they wont allow it...

sorry for the late answer, just got time to recheck the site this evening.

yeah mischief, safety cells are really clever. i dont understand why they dont come as standard in sportscars. well maybe not those where you almost cant get into the car, but rollcages and such should be in all sportscars in my opinion. they also help the chassis become - and stay - stiff, so there is really no reason not to have them.
well costs are the only reason, but id happily pay a grand ekstra for my car to have a rollcage fit as standard, they cant cost that much if they are being built in large numbers.

have a very nice weekend.

I signed up just fine a minute ago, maybe you can give it a try again.

hey Dins just signed up, no problems doing that today - very strange. are the v8 supercars the most fun series to watch?

I would say the V8 Supercars are more exciting ;)

Finally got around to downloading and watching this race so I am a bit late here! Its actually the first DTM race I've ever sat down and watched, having downloaded the MotorsTV review last year. Have to say the job by MotorsTV was poor. The mistakes made by the commentators were numerous and irritating and the production of the show was also of rather poor quality. Still, can't complain in the end...

It was quite an entertaining race, but I couldn't understand the strategy of Paul Di Resta by waiting for so long before coming into the pits. They must've had their reasons but I couldn't see any advantage to be gained. Where was Hakkinen? He was pretty uninspiring :(

Glad Tom Kristiansen is alright, that was a spectacular accident and demonstrates the safety of these cars.
