Random Thoughts....

I realize that... it just reminded me of my own hair-related story. :p

While we're on the topic, I'd like to put it out there that I don't like girls with really short hair. I mean really short... like man haircuts. What's the deal with those?

Dunno, I don't like thost either, I had short hair when I was young, but only because my hair was so thin that it looked really odd if it was long. There were a girl getting a haircut same time as me and it was really short and made her look more like a feminine guy than a girl :? why would you do that.

Not a single thing wrong with short hair on a woman.

^ Those are fine, I'm talking 0-3 cm long at most.

That's actually what I was talking about... okay, fine if you're Audrey Hepburn or some '60s icon but nowadays I personally don't like it.

I mean does it look good if a guy has hair like this?

I think guys should have guy haircuts and girls should have girl haircuts; there's no reason to blue the lines here people.

Today was an insane day. And as the founder of Digg, I just wanted to post my thoughts?

In building and shaping the site I?ve always tried to stay as hands on as possible. We?ve always given site moderation (digging/burying) power to the community. Occasionally we step in to remove stories that violate our terms of use (eg. linking to pornography, illegal downloads, racial hate sites, etc.). So today was a difficult day for us. We had to decide whether to remove stories containing a single code based on a cease and desist declaration. We had to make a call, and in our desire to avoid a scenario where Digg would be interrupted or shut down, we decided to comply and remove the stories with the code.

But now, after seeing hundreds of stories and reading thousands of comments, you?ve made it clear. You?d rather see Digg go down fighting than bow down to a bigger company. We hear you, and effective immediately we won?t delete stories or comments containing the code and will deal with whatever the consequences might be.

If we lose, then what the hell, at least we died trying.

Digg on,

Kevin

Whoa.

All this hullabaloo over 16 bytes of information...

Tomorrow, May 3rd is Scottish election day, I'm preying that the SNPs dont get into parliament or there will be an independence referendum in 2010, and Ive just found out there against the PPP which is why all the new schools, sports centres, health centres , etc where I live are being build. Bastards.

What's Digg?

A social news site. Users submit stories and then rate them, either giving approval (digging them) or burying it as spam, inaccurate, lame, etc. If a story gets enough diggs, it gets promoted to the front page and is seen by everyone who visits the site.

I was having a really good day today. 2nd to last day of classes, all finals are done, all papers and presentations are done, and just got a phone call for an interview on monday. And then....

My father is interested in trading in trading in his 2001 Bonneville for a new car. He was contemplating a new 5-seriesxi because a good friend of ours owns one and he's greatly impressed by it. So today he walks in early from work with a big grin on his face and a funny looking key fob in his hand and tells me to join him in the drive. I walk outside and there is a shiny new :D ... Caddillac STS :|. "Ok", I thought, "I'll be fair and wait till I sit in every seat, drive it, and dwell on it before I make a judgement."

I drove it around for 5 minutes, sat in it for 10, and hated it. Everything. All of it. In Toto. It was an absolute miserable car. I didn't know it at first but it was when I drove it back to the dealership with him and got out, that I realised I was completly miserable. I was having a brilliant day, and single handedly a car ruined it. And it didn't have to run me over to do so.
