I beg to differ, nigerian police getting out of a crappy old car with no ammo for their guns doesn't look very respectable

Emphasis on no ammo I suppose. :p

And what exactly is the purpose of the vehicle above? Chasing Golfers turned into criminals?

swek, it is concerning when they're supposed to be the ones escorting you...

That's a scary thought indeed. What were you doing in Nigeria that required a Police escort anyway?

That would be to get over sand and sand dunes at beaches i'd say.

It says Tenby Coast Guard on the picture so it's basically a sand buggy.

Okay now that both of you say it. It's not like there wasn't any clue on the pic. Stupid me.

This G-model was a very common sight in the city of Bonn when I was in school there. At that time (late 80s) Bonn was still the german capital and the G-models were used by the German borderguard which was protecting the various embassys in the city (especially the Israeli one). When I was sitting in driving-school-class, one of those things actually flipped over on the road outside, prompting my instructor to burst out laughing and running out the door to look at the "wreckage". The Gs were armoured, so they were even heavier than a regular G-model, and I guess it wasn't all that hard to flip them over in a tight corner..:D

Tons of other german police-oldtimers here:

And then there's those three of course ..:)
