If Your Life Depended On It: Toyota Hilux (Tacoma) or Land Rover Defender?

The Defender will break down ALL the time, it will be H O R R I B L E on the road, it will feel more like a tractor than a car, and it will probably drink fuel like a me on new years eve..

But man.. it's cool. I'd have the Defender. It's the underdog, but it's been going on since 194*. That's why I like it.

I loved the look of that Hilux from the Polar episode! it looked righteous, there's no doubt about that.

but in the end, the Rover has the class and the prestige. the Toyota is. . . just a Toyota.

I'll take the Toyota, it'll actually get me to my destination and back home. The Defender is British, it's going to fail.

I've driven a Defender and would never ever want one, sure it went nicely in bad terrain but everything else... Toyota lasts forever, Land Rover doesn't, easy choice.
