The most beautiful car ever

I think the 599 would be the best looking car ever (except for various Astons) if it had the rear lights off of a 612. I think the single light effect doesn't go too well.
 
I miss that black part/line some of the Ferraris from the 70's and 80's had:

It's clearly not so great in today's terms, but if they somehow modernized that 'look'. It's something that characterized Ferrari for a long time.

Agree on a couple of counts. The 599 COULD have been amazing, but they ruined it with stupid lights, especially the rear end. The F40 looks amazing, although the glue kinda ruins it close up haha

Oh the irony... I was tempted to post that car until I sat and looked at it in a few pics and decided it really isn't all that great looking.

Personally though, I find a lot of those pre-war cars to be rather boring. The only exception are the Kustoms.

I'm not so sure about the Mk2. It's not ugly, but it has just never done it for me..

Oh man, I just love the 288 GTO <3 My favourite Ferrari of all time..

As for my beautiful car ever.. don't make me choose! I just can't make my mind up..
 
The second is too ostentatious for my tastes, i prefer a more sophisticated/ understated look. Let the design speak for itself, don't go overboard adding little tidbits to it (which is exactly where the 599 goes wrong for me), or make too generous use of chrome or other sparkly thingies to "help" the design. A good design doesn't need those things, they only distract.
