My new car

That's... hysterical. Sounds like a bus, blows smoke like the busses around here but... Yikes that thing winds on speed at a rapid rate! It must be a bit worrying to look at the speedo and see it pointing to the number on the odometer, which is getting bigger :p

With the "All out" thing, I was trying to say you seem to take fairly ordinary looking cars and then really push the bondaries of what's sensible and possible... It's wonderful!

Wouldnt mind that bus sounding engine in my car... Actually this car beat my friends e30 M3 racecar with e36 M3 engine (~300 hp now), it was quite shocking:blink:

And yes, I like original looking cars, but with nice technologi inside

Too bad it's a diesely-weasily :p but it looks sweet

Haha, yeah to many people hate diesels :) But its a daily driver, so it needs to run cheap, now that a travel atleast 120 km a day, or when I go to work after school it can be 200 km a day :(

howmany l/100km does that golf I manage?

I get around 7-8liter/100km now because my tranny is very short, and on the highway Im pushing it to go fast:( The top speed is 170 with this, but it would go easily 200+ with a better tranny. The legal limit is 130 and I usualy go 140-150. So its pushed hard :( When I wasnt using it on the highway, only in the city, it was round 6.5/100.

Hey Lillput, it looks nice!

Gah, when you Europeans buy a cheap, old car you get a small, efficient hatchback that's sensible AND easily made into something loutish... We just get huge lumps of rather crudely made steel with huge, fuel devouring engines, crap tires and crude suspension/drivetrains. All the loutish stuff is fun, until it's raining and you have bald tires....

Ugh, for me who is used to the immovable object, it's a bit much as yet :p

i was asking for the 1.9 PDTDI, with over 200bhp
my guess would be around 15l/100km?

^ Nah not that much. My friend had a really powerfull 1.9 TDI with around 140-150 hp and 300-350 NM, and it was never above 7-8/100km.

Okay, so I got my brakepadstoday,

Ferrodo Racing DS 2500:

And ordered my Brembo vented discs. Hope they come tomorrow, and I can install them @ the weekend, cos next week thursday there is going to be a track event on the Hungaroring, and I got my slicks, but they are worthless without good, not fading brakes ;) Oh, and to bad for my crappy MK3 seats... Im going to fall out of it  But couldnt get my hands yet on Edition One seats:

These seats are my favorite, but its very rare in hungary, and on ebay they are going for like 300-500 euros:blink: SO they are stupidly expensive.

And so for my suspension setup:
Already got my hands on a Polyurethane Total Kit from USA (dirt cheap, now that the dollar is low), its already sitting in my room;)

My lowering springs are 60/40 H&R witch are in the car, and I'm going to stick with 'em, cos they are the right hight for me. Going to take out the shockabsorbers, and take it to a shop, where they are going to stiffen it up

Well these are my plans for now. Lets hope the best ;)

Its kindof "new" technique. 4-5 years old maybe?

EDIT: or maybe 5-10 dunno :)

Hmm, I'm surprised I've never seen it before. When I had my GTI, I was on vwvortex at least four or five times a day. Although, I guess I never did go into the mkI and mkII forums all that much.

Well some update.. :)

So I stripped out the car, fixed all the rusty points, bought some xtras like Recaro-s, new headlights, Air Conditioner, soundproofing, hardened shocks, little fridge in the trunk :p Etc Sooo its gonna be cool I think so ;)

Pics later

Oh yeah, and Upgraded the engine to a 1.9 TDI :) Soon to be tuned, now its running without turbo. Its not to fast, but i get 4l/100 km, so its nice :) Later I'm going to run on a gt20 with ~140 hp ~300 nm, long 5 speed transmission or maybe 6 speed. 5 speed ratios alow me 220km/h at 4500 rpm the 6speed would alow more... :) :) But I'm not going for top speed, but higher cruising speed. With this tranny 130 km/h is around 3400 rpm... Witch sucks. SO thats it for now

Soo the car has been in part for 6 months now... :D Fixed up the chassis, the suspension, the engine is going to get its turbo back, the whole car is made very quiet, I used 1 roll of bquiete, and another cheep stuff, bought mk2 recaro electric front seats, electric mirrors, corrado rear bench, mk3 american center console, etc. So its going to be finished in a few weeks I hope :)
