Bought one couple weeks ago. Damn I love that thing! (Not that China made car that I own - but the whole thing!) It's really cool and a bit hard to drive - cause It's fast as hell. But really fun.

So.. RC-cars anyone?

P.S Some pics. (IMO this car is made by ACME Racing - but who knows..)
And P.P.S. It's Nitro powered.

I was in a hobby shop a few weeks ago and I saw what are called Mini-Z cars. From what I can tell they're pretty quick and you can easily change bodies to make them look like lots of different cars. They even had an AWD chassis you could get. They seemed pretty reasonably priced for that kind of thing at about $130 once you've gotten everything together. I'm very tempted to get into it, maybe after winter so I can race them around outside. I also saw a 1:18 new Mini Cooper S rc model that was similarly priced and quite tempting.

I just saw pics of Alex Roy and an RC version of the Polizei M5:

I actually just sold mine. I did have a team associated T4 with an upgraded motor and wire setup, along with a new CUSTOM servo. I raced it and did quite well in my class. It's good fun.

There fine for fun, but i had some ridiculous friends who spent thousands upgrading their R/C cars. There excuse was that real cars were too expensive, when infact they could have had a damn nice used car for the money they had spent on there R/Cs

i like the Zip Zaps, although i haven't played with mine in forever.

Small enough i can actually play with them where i want, and if i had the freetime i could build a pretty badass track

HotCooler, I was wondering what the engine size is, and if it's a two speed? I've been looking for a smaller R/C than mine that is legal to race..

I have a T-Maxx 3.3, very insane accelleration for a monster truck-style R/C. I guess the engine is too big though, can't be raced yet...I guess they have no class for them yet.

Trying to line myself to buy a used Traxxas Nitro Rustler, can hit +55mph IIRC.

never had the spare time nor money to play around with R/C car, but im really tempted, if it wasnt so expensive.

I've got an old RC10T3 but I haven't had it out in a loooong time. I'd like to get into nitro trucks eventually, but that'll have to wait until I've got more time and $$$.

I've got this!

These things are price-wise, today the Reventon of R/C cars. I didn't pay big bucks for mine!

i saw on the net some crazy petrol powered r/c cars

for a decent amount of money i saw close to 40 mph / 60 kmh, but were some crazy 80 mph / 130 km/h r/c cars but damn expensive.

and i see that some people here some serious r/c cars, are they electric/petrol and are they expensive to run ?

i have a nikko peugeot 206 rally car (no photos yet), it's quite fun, but only works inside the house cannot get dirt and water into it, though maneged to do some donuts :D

one more thing, it says 130 km/h scale speed but doesn't specify the scale(can't see it)but it's a little bit bigger than 1:18 what wloud the real speed be ?

anyway, about time a thread about r/c cars :p

never had the spare time nor money to play around with R/C car, but im really tempted, if it wasnt so expensive.

Same here, I was always tempted to get a 60mph sports car, but I knew I would never have the time to use it.

I've got a Traxxas Spirit and a Stampede. Haven't taken them out for a run in about 3 years though...

 exactly what I didn't want to happen to me

Silverstar. It's kinda chineese copy of Mini Inferno Half8.. so - yes it's 2 speed, AWD, and with 1CC ot .06ci engine. And it's so... fragile.. IMO I'll leard to drive on this thing, than I'll sell it and buy something good. IMO some 1:10 or 1:8 Buggy from "GS" or something...

P.S. About Fragileness - some photos.

ive got a little mini-z with an f40 body, and some kind of kyosho gas powered thing that has been sitting in the shed for the last 3 year.

the mini-z is awesome fun, small so i can use it inside. set up a little track, get a few mates with some mini-z as well and race them while you sit back on the couch. make sure you have a pit lane for the compulsory beer stop every 10 laps

Well, this is my RC car:

I had a few R/C cars when I had time to play with them in high school. I had a Yokomo Super Dog Fighter (it's a off-road buggy), a Tamiya TA02 Racing Special with all aluminum hardware (yes, even the screws and bolts are anodized in purple or blue), and a Serpent gas on-road car (it's quite fast, it can hit 60km/h in second gear).

Heres a question for you RC guys! When i was little i had a mostly cheap and pretty slow RC truck i bought from ToysRUS, but it had one really interesting unintended feature, it could float!

Just wondering if any of your monster trucks could float on water as well :)
