BATTLESTAR GALACTICA SEASON 3!!! spoilers inside maybe

I'm not sure if the webisodes have started yet. But I believe a dvd screener of BSG:Razor is floating around. I'm reluctant to get it because I don't know if anything will change when the movie is released to select theaters Nov. 12th or aired on the 24th.
 
Okay...watched it. I thought it was fantastic.

Admiral Cain, wow....I didn't care for her in the series, but she was a lot better in this (and by better I mean bat shit crazy).

no but seriously that was immense, the shipyard battle (more like slaughter) was awesomely done.
 
I couldn't wait and watched it, holy crap that was awesome!

I loved the use of the classic BSG Cylons, and the tie-in with the return of Starbuck, fucking epic. Everything was done so superbly, from the attack on the shipyard, the ousting of the #6 to the explanation of what happened with the civilian fleet and the ominous encounter with the cylon hybrid.
GREAT SHIT.

why can Sci Fi make great shows like this, and be absolutely CRAP at making movies?
 
I'm assuming we are keeping this thread for Season 4 as well. It's off to a great start....

Cali is dead, whoops, never liked her actually. Same with madame president, I just can't stand her any more..... I wonder what the other 3 Cylons onboard have as secret missions....

Do the children count btw? Theoretically there should be 2 Human-Cylone Babies around....

I have no clue to tell the truth. The Adamas, Baltar or Starbuck would be quite predictable...Roslin is annoying enough to be a cylone...maybe the doctor? :)
 
All i can say about the final five models is that, as mentioned last season, they are fundamentally different from the other 7 models, one of those differences being that there is only one of each of the final 5 models, there are no multiple copies. I also think they are much more human in physiology with the same weaknesses, being prone to human diseases, etc. However i thought they would be human strength as well, but Tory whacking Cally 20 ft away kind of disproved that. oh well we'll see more, theres plenty of the season left.
 
And what the hell is up with Cali taking a hit like that and not have a smashed face?
 
Meh, the other dude took a whacking with a wrench and looked ok. They prolly blew the whole money on CGI and none left for makeup artists...

Is it just me or have ep 2 and 3 been a bit on the boring side? I was hoping they'd go out with a bang...

As said before, there will be over 20 eps this season, its way too early to 'go out with a bang' this early in the season. They'll gradually ramp it up, im sure the last 10 eps of the season will be one insane ride, until then, it would be stupid for the writers to overdo the first half of the season.

I was reading on another BBS about how ppl were complaining that the 1st ep of the new season didn't reveal the ID of the last of the final five, when they only revealed the ID of the other 4 an EPISODE AGO (last ep season 3). Impatient idiots.

Sadly, this is kind of symptomatic why so much of american tv sucks and doesn't allow for good proper serialized storytelling with some exceptions (24, and other similar shows), because too much of the audience doesnt have the patience for properly paced storytelling.

Wow what an episode! I didn't really get what the hybrid said: "The 3 will lead you to the 5 who came from the home of the 13th - you cara thrace are the ??? of death and will lead them all to their end"

So the last 3 (why 3, why not 4???) will lead to the 5 who come from earth and cara will lead them all to death? Or to the end in sense of end of their journey.

BTW: 2 sixes kissing - does it get any better? :D
