Jaguar XF and Clarkson losing a leg?!

I was watching the episode S9E02, and towards the end of news they mention the CXF concept car. Jezza commented that "if that car, comes out like that,i'll cut my left leg off and beat myself to death with it". To which hammond says (facing the camera and presumably to jaguar) "Do it, just do it".

I still think XF looks too much like the concept. Only the head lights are (rather sadly) different.

There are subtle differences throughout the entire car, which all together make almost a completely different car.

I'd agree. A lot of little differences really do add up to a lot.

What is it with Jag and those side vents? They didn't look good on the XK, and they don't look good on this car either.

Clarkson legs are safe. The biggest difference are headlights, which are very ugly in final version. It doesn't look like Jaguar!

The concept was brutal and menacing looking, production model is far safer. Much closer to the typical Japanese car. My guess is that all the "charming" little touches are going to sell this one.

I'm sure it will be nice to drive, as well..

The back of it looks awesome. It is just those headlights that ruin it.

I think it somehow resembles the Daihatsu Materia. Both cars are designed to look good from some people's point of view. You either love it or loathe it:

Yeah i guess i have to agree with majority. Production XF looks much more.. how to put it.. relaxed and lazy (guess what a jaguar should be like). While the concept was crisp, sharp and exciting.

I hope someone make a mod for the XF where they replace the front hood and the lights to make them more like concept. Or in the least put some eye-lashes on that hump of lights.

It looks like an E92 M3 from the back, a Lexus GS/IS from the side and a Buick from the front.
