Fearless mouse...

seeing as most small mammals rely on their sense of smell over their sense of sight this isn't too shocking. I'm sure if you deleted peoples depth perception you would find a short term cure for fear of heights, but thats not really a advantage is it?

What would be interesting to see is what things are programmed into us that are actually very instinctive, and furthermore how flexible some of our hardwired instincts actually are.

quick someone make a lolcats out of this.

or use screen captures from the video.

Then learn the Japanese history and culture for the next 6 and you'll see who they trully are.

Just because it's different than your own, doesn't mean you get to go around shit-talking an entire nation. I suppose you hate all German people too? Can't thrust all them Nazis, amirite?

I know more than you think. Not from personal experience, but from a very reliable source.

OK, so by saying you know things (you won't say what!) from a nebulous "source" (you won't say who!), I'm supposed to assume you know what you're talking about?

[citation needed]

An Asian arts major, specialising in Japanese (and Chinese) history and culture. How's that for a source?

You are majoring in Asian Arts, or you're an Asian guy majoring in Arts? Either way, all that means is that you've read the same books everybody else has.

WTF, what more do you want? A university graduate on the subject doesn't make a reliable source?

WTF, what more do you want?

I'd like you to answer my question. Do you hold a prejudice against German people because of their country's history?

Note: I misread your post, I thought you were the arts major. If you wrote a paper and used some unknown Uni grad as your main source, you'd be given a failing grade in an instant. Just as I'm giving your posts a failing grade.

I don't have a say on that, because i don't know anyone that has done extensive anthropological studies on the modern Germans. But i do know someone who has done so on the Japanese.

Egad, I think you put less effort into this discussion than your Apple-bashing rants. Oh, well. If I'm a "twat" for trying to get you to formulate and back up your own ideas, then so be it.

IceBone: Why not tell us some of these things you've heard, so perhaps we can at least verify them for ourselves if we wish.

From what I've heard from a friend who was an exchange student for a while, the Japaese are quite racists (especially towards other Asians).

Back on topic here

This appears less to be a "fearless mouse" and more about the fact that it just can't smell the cat it fears.

thedguy: i'd love to, but my gf's in the philippines right now, will be untill valentines and whenever she previously ranted about the japanese, she always told me too much to remember, but you're right, they're EXTREMELY racist. That's one thing i do remember.

Undoubtedly - many, though not all, Japanese regard other Asians with some hostility and prejudice. That being said, I've seen just as strong hatred between natives of Hong Kong and their mainland Chinese counterparts, between Chinese and Vietnamese, etc.
