how's the sigma 70-300 treating you? Can you give me a review-ish description?

its "ok" - for that money i dont think i could get anything better. BUT the focus is quite slow and below f8 the image is "soft" - as well as over 200mm...

Yeah, opinion is split on this one. Some people really like the blur and others really don't! Me, I'm not sure. And as for the shadows, it was a really overcast day and I didn't have any kit with me.

It's not DOF as it's neither foreground nor background. It was just used as a way of drawing you into the car.

It just looks a bit silly, it almost looks like nasty clone marks. Also, I think the car should be over to the left, with the nose pointing into the middle, it looks like it's a bit cramped over on that side.
