Program to cut and paste xvid avi's

Yea, just need a program where i can cut up top gear videos without converting them and then splice em together and stuff for a powerpoint project(see off topic for project details)
 
Well I don't know for the powerpoint part but for cutting without recompressing you can use VirtualDubMod.
- open the video
- cut it in any way you want
- select "video > direct stream copy" and save.

There may be audio sync errors due to VBR mp3 files. If so then AviDemux may handle them better, you could use this instead of VirtualDubMod.
 
I second the Avidemux/VirtualDubMod motion. The only thing you'll have to keep in mind is that you won't have exact frame precision when cutting the beginnings of your clips. In Xvid, frames aren't independent: the only complete frames are key frames, with subsequent frames being built on top of them.
