I have a Powerbook G4 with S-Video out and a DVI port. I'd like to be able to hook it up to my TV, which is a big boxy CRT. I don't think it supports S-Video, so I'm down to DVI. I could buy an adapter probably, but are there any other options or ideas you guys can think of. I know there will most likely be resolution issues hooking it up to a CRT. How do you guys watch Top Gear on your TV?

Oh, and if it helps all my episodes are on CDRs in .avi format.

S-Video to RCA + RCA cable.

It must be a pretty old set not to have S-Video. You will need a RCA adapter for video.

It will support S-Video

even my old crappy TV that I found in the garage has S-Video.

If it doesn't have S-Video, then Crazyjeeper has already pointed out the alternative solution.

Hooking up a CRT-TV has always proven to be a pain in the ass...I tried it with two different PC's, two different TV's, two different cables and ATI And Nvidia and it never worked like it was supposed to.

Good luck :)
I do it all the time. Works just fine.

I have a 50 foot S-Video running to our 24"? TV upstairs + a long range wireless keyboard/mouse my dad got from work (ex-conference room).
