Technically it was planned maintenance that overran. Plus it all happened before I set off.
However I have now set off and am on the way to Kent before tomorrow morning's cross channel train :)
Basically I replaced the water pump and managed to snag and break one of the O-rings between the pump and the block. Put it all back together; added water, which it promptly dumped under the car. It was an incredibly simple fix - just replace the broken O-ring. Oh and by the way its literally...
Called my bank today and they told me that the Romanian Leu is a closed currency and apparently they can't get any as it's not allowed out of the country. Riiiiiight.

Having just changed the studs and gaskets on my exhaust manifold I still have yet to discover the amount of boost noise that remains. The engine is a lot quieter now without it blowing.
So they don't offer the 1.4 TSI over there? Shame as the 1.2 is a bit weedy comparatively... Still an extremely nice car (just don't try and drive it sportily...)
And you should have gone for the dark grey - silver is so bland its not even a colour anymore :P
