    The Post Your Pets Thread

Awe, Caska's eyes finally changed. She certainly took her own sweet time with it didn't she. And look at that little spotted belly! I love me some tabby spotted kitten belly. MGDK's are just the most darling little things. Does the one have a shorter tail than the rest, or is it just the...

    Random Thoughts... [Automotive Edition]

Actually, it would have. "Line dancing" as per the 1960s onward (the hustle, electric slide, etc) all descend from square/round dancing.

Car and Driver magazine launches campaign to save manual transmissions!

Kat, please don't drive like this. It's as bad if not worse than if you were driving completely drunk. If you are THIS tired you need to arrange a ride, cab, or bus trip home. It's just not fair to everyone else on the road. I don't want to hear shit about how you're so special and your...

You should be able to bypass all drying. It's sometimes called an ecosaver mode.

    Random Thoughts....

I had a dishwasher actually catch fire once. It smelled awful. Took WEEKS to get the extinguisher dust out of the nooks and crannies of the kitchen. Can't you just turn off the heated dry?

    What's your latest [non-technology] purchase?

That sound suspiciously like you're going to konk someone over the head and light the body on fire out in the back woods and ride off on your nicely shod get-a-way horse or something....

Petite passenger booted from Southwest flight

I think we should put all the fatass people in a fatass camp. Bring back the old leper colonies. Then we should forcibly sterilize them and isolate them from all external contact from the outside world so the precious skinny people don't have to see their nasty bodies or think about their nasty...

Car and Driver magazine launches campaign to save manual transmissions!

Parallel parking was neither covered in my driver training nor on road test. However my granddaddy taught me when I was 14 in about... 1 minute and I've remembered ever since.

No 56k: Surplus Cop Car Shopping; 56K gets cuffed and stuffed.

We have a GT3 police car around here. I saw it out on the road once. Got a pic, but don't know where it is any more.

    Random Thoughts....

I worked with a 40ish German man who couldn't manage to back an auto out of a parking spot and had to have someone else drive him home in it. (Long story how he even had it.)

Finding a vehicle for my mom: One big requirement

I hate suggesting this, but think about the Scion xD. Know that it didn't preform well in Euro-NCAP testing (as the Toyota Urban Cruiser) but still ranks fine in US testing (no idea about transport canada), but it has a very van-like interior, tall seating position, small overall size, and...

I refer you to the US, present day. Nearly no parents have manual cars so nearly no children learn on them. Our auto rate is now >90%.

Petite passenger booted from Southwest flight

Exactly. Southwest has a pretty rigorous hierarchy for bumping passengers. I've never noticed it being secret when I've flown them.
