Glad to know that I am not the only one! While a couple of obscure classical movie scores is ok, I agree that they are being overused, and the ones that are being chosen aren't the best when compared to some of the ones used in the past. I also hope your theory is correct in that they have...

I'm not really sure how to say this without having people take it the wrong way, but is it just me, or have the soundtracks this year been, how shall I say, uninspired? I still find them very good and they really make the show. Nevertheless, I don't seem to get that same buzz that I would get...

    Other Song Requests

Seconded! Since these DVDs can be sold for profit I'm guessing that they have different rules than the Top Gear shows were any music can easily be broadcast. Thus, my guess is that all the tracks on this DVD are probably one-off tracks. Nevertheless, if they are not, I would indeed love the...

    [10x04] November 4th, 2007 [Botswana Special]

As soon as I heard the harmonica, I was hyped up. Ennio Morricone was perfect for this episode. But yes, it was used like over a dozen times along with plenty of other classical pieces. Good luck sssreverb....

47:19 - 47:54: Midnight Cowboy Theme (Not sure what version though!) I have both the original John Berry version (which has the guitar and drum in the background) and the killer Henry Mancini version of this. HOWEVER the one used in the show is neither! I recognized some other tracks on there...

29:36 ? 30:20: John Barry - Vendetta I'm pretty sure it IS NOT it, but the first time I heard 01:37 - 02:04 I couldn't stop singing Phil Collins's Easy Lover! haha Maybe it is some sort of modern remake? Also, thanks for the Goldfrapp ID, that is a hot tune.

I can't believe I remembered this one... 03:41 - 03:52 - Wagon Christ - Saddic Gladdic 19:42 - 19:56 - Wagon Christ - Saddic Gladdic 17:31 - 17:41 sounds VERY close to Bebel Gilberto - Mais Feliz (remixed by monoaural) but in Top Gear there is no bass line. Not sure if it is a match or not.

First off, the times that you guys have aren't matching up with my copy at all. Just for reference, I have the 198MB VUK version of this episode. In any case, there was a real catchy tune in this ep that I KNEW I had heard before. I thought for sure it was Booker T and the MGs, but after...
