I believe this was introduced by Google as the earlier default behaviour of allowing files to be seen was not great security wise.

Couple of things recently. Samsung printer (MFC, Laser, B&W). Got it for a very good price. Needed a 2.5" caddy, got an "Orico" brand USB3 based one. Xiaomi PowerBank to replace a free one I got from Netgear many years ago that's got an issue with its on/off button.

Oh they had versions with all the fancy shocks, alu frames, and what not, but considering these will be like most SUVs today and never be off asphalt, it seemed unnecessary :) *edit* We paid 70e per bike.
