Or Cuba. Or NK. I was reading the Minutes of the GA hearing about the Ramadan Massacres, and, although that's in Syria, global opinions are pretty much the same. I bet that if he leave's it'll be one of those 3 countries.

Cuba, good call. Although Cuba is not as stable as it once was, could be a possiblity if he does leave.

Just read somewhere a rumour that Gaddafi had already fled his compound... wonder if he's already on a private jet or a boat to Caracas or Havana.

Oh I'm sure. It would not surprise me in the slightest if, after all this bluster and rhetoric from him, that he sells everyone he knows out at the very end and is floating on a yacht somewhere.

The same thing that one of his old mates tried to do on Dec 22 1989 via helicopter... three days later he was lying on the ground in the courtyard of a military base, riddled with bullet holes.

The BBC are speculating the rumoured "African Options" as well, Angola and Zimbabwe. Fucking great countries for a murdering Despot, with loads on cash, to hang out in.

Bet it will be somewhere none of us have thought of at all.

    He is unpredictable.

    EDIT: Twenty minutes later!

Saif Al Islam, Big G's number one son, had been seen by a BBC reporter, where it looked as if he was not captured and under arrest. I am thinking "body doubles" have got involved here, either the NTC have arrested him and a "body double" was shown to reporters for propaganda or vice-versa.

Make sense? No, good - Keep calm & carry on.

Still, I can imagine Gadaffi chillin on a private beach nursing a (non-alcoholic, of course) Mojito, surrounded by his harem of bikini-clad "bodyguards." It's the place I'd be if I were an eccentric dictator watching my life's achievement of repression crumbling beneath my feet. Or maybe I am.

I think it is quite interesting that these so called "rebels" can´t do anything on their own. All they do is cry to NATO; "Help us, help us!". Because Libya is fundamentally a clan-based region and not a national state in that sense it will be very difficult for them to maintain any kind of disciplin in the making of the new state after the fall of the dictator. I do wish them the best of luck though.

But if the big NATO has fucked up again, like U.S did in Afghanistan in the 80s, and islamist groups will form which has no other intent than to destroy the Western Civilization I think it is time to break out the good ol´champagne and once again laugh at people being brainwashed by the "unbiased" media in the West.

This really calls for e-papers. I mean this morning I read my paper, and it says Seif el-Islam is captured. Then I turn on my TV, and there he is waving "Hello!" to me.
Also CNN have for some reason switched from CNNi to CNN USA on my TV, and it's shit. CNN International is good and a bit boring like news are supposed to be, CNN USA is just loud. Good thing there's Al-Jazeera, hands down the best channel when it comes to the middle east.

Now let's see what'll happen as the situation stabilises. We're going to have to find someone new to pay to keep the refugees out from the mediterranean eventually, our floating fence isn't online yet. If we can leech away their oil money, and then use that to pay someone to keep the refugees out, it'll cost nothing!

To be fair, there is a Tripoli in northern Lebanon, its just not where Big G lives.

BBC News - Rebels overrun Gaddafi compound

In this fast moving story, it seems quite old news now.

I will start believing that Tripoli has been won, when the area around the international journalists' Hotel is free to used by the news crews and there is no more shooting going on in the city.

Also, when a news crew does a live broadcast from the middle of Sirte, I still have heard nothing from that area.

Pres. Sarkozy is probably going to come out of this looking quite well, as is PM Cameron. But, the fighting is not over yet and there are likely to be more surprises.

And LOL at Sarkozy as "Super Rambo".

A PR blunder and propaganda fail, big time. Still don't know what the story was there, NTC looked like idiots late last night.

I usually watch Al-Jazeera for breaking news in the Arab speaking world, they seem have more assets better placed to cover the story. (They & others can be biased, as in Baharain.)

Also, the SKY News reporter going out live from the compound, was standing next the statue of the 1986 Regan bombing of Libya, she described the F-111* on top, as an APACHE HELICOPTER.

    * Likes AiR's cunning plan *

EDIT: * OK, the airplane is or could be a sytilzed A-6 and F-111 combination, both were used on the raid, but it is not a rotary wing either way.

The outer compound was freed yesterday and there were still fighting going on around the inner compounds. Some amazing and dangerous TV pictures from the BBC News crew.

Gaddafi nor Saif have still not been located.

The NTC representatives are probably not intending to go to Tripoli until next week, although they say they have "security coordination" representatives already in the city. (Whatever that means.) Hope the place doesn't go bastard, like Baghdad did after Saddam's fall.

Conditions had deteriorated sharply at the hotel, where more than 30 foreign journalists were trapped by armed guards loyal to Colonel Gaddafi.

The journalists included staff from the BBC, Sky, CNN, Reuters and other networks. Other captives reportedly included a former US congressman and a member of the Indian parliament.

These were the journalists who stayed in the Rixos Hotel under the control of the Gaddafi minders.

It is quite a good story, but a bit strange when the freed journos were being interviewed by their own colleagues.

There is shared news video, which shows them being carried out to safety, in a Red Cross convoy.

    EDIT:

Aljazeera are showing a banner quoting Gaddafi that his departure from his stronghold was "Tactical".

Now reports are coming in that the "rebels" are brutally killing black migrant workers from other parts of Africa and is defending this by calling them "mercenaries". How long will this brutal slaying of the civilians in Libya continue? The UN-resolution 1973 clearly states that "any means necessary to PROTECT civilians. All the bombhappy West have been doing is enforcing "democracy" by bombing the Libyan people back to the stone age. This has never been about democracy for the West, they have been pissed off that Khaddafi got sick of the West and started making oil deals with China, Russia and the Middle East. Add to that the mistrust of the dollar and there you go, the Rothschilds and other warmongerers rush to "help and protect" the Libyan population. But as always, the western leaders will never show up in any Hague trial because of their murdering of civilian populations. I mean when will Kissinger och Truman be prosecuted for their crimes against humanity?

    But things are looking bright:

UK will soon be nothing but a lost rock in the North Sea and the U.S is clearly going down. Hopefully this will mean it is an end of countless wars to enforce their twisted interpretation of "democracy".

Libya had a very tiny population of Sub-Saharan Africans before Gadaffi bought in tens of thousands of Sub-Saharan Mercenaries.
