"Mammoth Mountain" The preview of the episode from Tuesday's showed Tanner driving a Range Rover Sport. So, I don't think that this is going to be a "cheap car, massive destruction" show.

Sixteen. There were six in 2012, and ten in the current run.

[03x13] March 12, 2013 "Doomsday Drive" The Stig is back! Sort of.

The invention segment was too short, much like the one Rutledge did. I would have liked to see more of the football segment as that was absolutely entertaining. Also, I would have rather seen Adam test the 2005-era Ford GT race against Rutledge in the 550. At least Adam admitted that his...

"Adam's Show" Great. An excuse for Adam to lose out on more actual road tests.

Yeah, I was so excited that Adam won because he would get to drive the McLaren. I would have been a lot more "okay" with Tanner getting to drive it if they hadn't said so on a voiceover. But, Adam lost because he "broke the law" even though the disclaimers said that no laws were broken. Cop out!

"Taxis" A real-world cheap car test, not bad. All of the other challenges this season have been in isolated-ish environments so this will be a breath of fresh air.

I'm pretty sure that the opening scene with the Regal, Mazda3 and Camaro was done on the test track. Top Gear US keeps getting better as the season goes on. Don't lose the momentum!

You totally hit the nail on the head there. I feel like a lot of us suffer "forbidden fruit syndrome" when it comes to Top Gear UK and even Top Gear Korea. Top Gear US is a better show for me personally because they have shown cars that I could be able to afford for the majority of the show's run.

"150 MPH Challenge" The winner of this has been spoiled already.

At least they actually did something with their RVs. All the UK presenters did was drive a bit, go surfing, and cook dinner. I thought the cutting back and forth between the quiet RV camp and their crazy driving was done very well, and that the Charlotte tailgate bit was amusing.

I liked this one a lot. As old as the presenters have gotten, they are no less crafty - James and the bicycle took me completely by surprise.

I think that (as other people have mentioned) the problem is with the sponsorship. I know I've seen "Brought to you by Mercedes-Benz" numerous times on the commercial breaks. What happens if they decide to Power Test a BMW M6 and find it to be better in every way than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class...

Adam and Rutledge need to learn how to cheat. I'd like to see one of them do a neat challenge like the G63 race. Rutledge won that fuel economy thing but he didn't even get to drive the rally truck that much, and I don't think that Adam has had a legitimate test since the SLS AMG in Season 1...

Can't think of anything particularly bad about this episode. I'll have the Vanquish, thanks.

They've done that (at least) twice before. In the Season 2 opener, Adam's Maverick in the monster truck race was not the one he used for the majority of the episode. Also in Season 2, when the presenters converted their vans to boats to cross the pond, Adam's van was an older model Town &...

"RVs" The UK presenters, when they did the motor home challenge, tried to build motor homes that were small enough to work on European roads but still "cool" like big RVs. This seems a bit different, as if they're actually going to try and take their RV out on a track.

Caprice and some sort of Volvo. I'm going to assume that the Caprice goes to Adam and the Volvo to Rutledge.

Overall, I liked it. There was just some "bad continuity" stuff going on - like how they were supposed to be "lost" and then all of a sudden, a challenge, but I attribute that to bad writing. The presenters themselves were in top form.
