Looking at my comments for the opening episode of this season, I think I was being overly optimistic. :( Definitely an improvement over the previous season, but doesn't hold up against The Grand Tour. Has Matt LeBlanc saved Top Gear? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-39691580

Honestly, I've been fast forwarding through most of the last few episodes. The studio segments are killing it and even the films are starting to slip. :(

6 out of 10. The extended star segment is still dragging the show down.

Only a 6 out of 10 this week. The Alfa review was going great; and then it was spoiled by Rory doing the "Bring on the Wall" nonsense. The celebrity spot really dragged it down, despite David Tennant's best efforts. I think it would be better if it was just Harris interviewing the star and then...

Just spotted it @ 33:24. Look at the Volvo's headlights. They suddenly seem to be intact.

A very solid 7 out of 10. Much better chemistry than the last series. LeBlanc has settled in to the show nicely.

A real Christmas treat. Definitely seemed to have found some of their old magic again. :thumbsup:

Already this is starting to look a bit thin on ideas. The most enjoyable part of this episode was Jimmy Carr on a jet ski, before his inevitable death. :blowup: I hope we are going to get a proper "Adventure" or "Cheap Car Challenge" for Christmas.

Episode 2 is "The Three Stooges" meet "The Wild Geese". "The Wild Stooges"!!!! :D

Great to see that it's business as usual. Just bigger and better. As for weakest part of the show; i.e. The American; "Some say he voted for Donald Trump...and he's already regretting it." :lol:

You make a very good point. Just look at the DECLINING number of replies and views to each episode thread. Ep.1 o Replies: 227 o Views: 19,570 Ep.2 o Replies: 142 o Views: 9,723 Ep.3 o Replies: 64 o Views: 5,296 I think that speaks volumes. :think:
