    Stupid Driver Stories

Dear lady in the tan Nissan Maxima on the Ben Franklin Bridge this morning: I wonder if you noticed the trail of smoke behind your car and the fluids you were dropping on the bridge's roadway. Based on how you didn't even stop to look at the damage that was doing to your engine, apparently...

    Stupid Driver Stories

Some great, shocking and amusing stories in the last ~100 pages :) <rant> I-76 between Conshohocken and King of Prussia in PA is possibly the worst 4 lane "Interstate" on the East Coast (two lanes in each direction). Traffic, traffic and more traffic. Tailgaters. I drive this road most weekdays...

Thanks for the clarification. I wonder why ground effect was hated so much by the FIA...

Ah, OK, makes sense. I take that ground effect aerodynamics is what you're talking about here. Was that ever banned in the Technical Regulations or do we still have that today to some extent? Also, I hope that someday, F1 will go back to small capacity, high-boost turbocharged engines with no...

A question to F1 fans from the late 80s and early 90s. As I was watching the Senna film, the cars seemed to be bottoming out on the ground a hell of a lot and sending sparks every which way. The screen shot I grabbed from the film below is one such example: I'm vaguely remembering something...

I'm just not sure about this particular review. Worse than ALL the episodes of series 1? /sigh Granted, I completely trashed the last episode but went way too far with it. But, I've watched this episode at least 4 times already. I can find faults with Hammond's race film or James's Veyron SS...

OK...after a day to ponder over what I posted yesterday, I am an idiot. I definitely deserve the -rep I got in plentiful amounts. I don't know what got into me yesterday but whatever it was, I just went off and wasn't able to stop. I should have sat on my thoughts until I had the clarity of mind...

Fine then. Goodbye to this forum. I want my account deleted. If I can't express my opinion on this show without getting trashed, then it isn't worth the trouble.

THIS. They could include the cocking about, stupid challenges and whatever. If the guys just were themselves throughout it all, then TG might have a shot at survival.

I completely agree. The show should have been canned after series 8. And, as a majority of this board have seen, the three guys, by themselves, do amazing work and make shows that are genuinely interesting.

and they're the type of people that TG is depending on for its ratings. if they didn't have them, the show would have been cancelled already.

There should seriously be a choice of 0 in the poll. That would more accurately reflect the quality of these episodes.

Ruined, again, by the last segment. As James implied, you did waste my evening watching that garbage. Liked Andy Garcia's interview and the R8 V10/911 Turbo review. But that's it. 4/10.

This is the issue I have. The first 15 minutes of yesterday's show was perfect Top Gear. To me, it was obvious they were having fun and truly enjoying reviewing the Maser/Porsche/Aston. The first 10-15 mins easily reminded me of similar group tests from series 4-7. It's been beaten to death...

My mom had a Camaro from the late 70s, so I'm sort of biased toward the car in general...I think GM got the styling right with the new one, IMHO. So, I think we'll agree to disagree here :) But, I sat in one earlier this year at the Philly Auto Show and was simply overcome by how cheap the...

What I don't understand is how the Camaro and E63 are comparable. The Camaro has a lineage as an American muscle car all the way back to its beginning. The E63 is an executive-style saloon which happens to have a hulking big engine under its hood. The basis for both these cars is completely...

I recall the News segment of July 27th, 2008, when Hammond discussed the Camaro before it launched. He had a positive view of the car, so I was disappointed by the film today. I like how it looks like the Camaros of the 60s and 70s but do agree it isn't, through-and-through, all-American muscle.

This episode deserved a 2, at best. If I could select 0 in the poll, I would not hesitate to do this. The end of the saloons review REEKED of the end of episode 6 of series 9. Completely predictable, stupid and pointless. As soon as I heard the word "chauffeur," I instantly knew what was going...
