A Forum Star In A Reasonably Priced Car [Suzuki Swift, flying start]

Have not really played much of TG track and GT overall, but here's my 2 cents for this, basically got 1:38:808 on the second try, do feel that I can go a second or even 1.5 seconds faster, though just dont really have time right now. But doubt that any one will break 1:35 or even 1:36. No...

    Random Thoughts... [Photographic Edition]

Remember the thread about filming Mercedes in recent Top gear? I found even cooler tech for light rays =) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egkSb0ZWLzU

No 56k: Bavaria Moscow City Racing 2009 [Lots-o-pics]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- The old thread was a pain in the arse to load (more than 200pics... and makes my Opera hang for 2-3sec...) So I decided to open a new one for a new event...

How did they film the Sl65 Black intro in Top Gear 13x03

Hehe.. It's possible with video too. You just need a time blend filter and an echo filter and continuous light movement (or there will be umm.. weirdnesses..). I'll post a crappy vid in a bit. (It's flashlight and a window, but you'll get what i mean). It's quality will be crappy because i have...

How did they film the Sl65 Black intro in Top Gear 13x03

I still think the blend method would work.. I'd love if someone try it out.

How did they film the Sl65 Black intro in Top Gear 13x03

Hmm.. I have another idea as a 3D theory is not welcomed.. Since camera never moves. It probably can be done through filming it as normal - moving a light and filming as it goes and then - Blending all the frames in a sequence of a certain time together to create a steady trace. And as the time...

How did they film the Sl65 Black intro in Top Gear 13x03

That seems to be a result of filming a Ipod (probably special colored one or even a placeholder box or something) and then using some professional FX software they've tracked movements of that object and placed a glowing semi transparent particle trace. So I bet you it's all 3D and FX. I...

    Your Camera Equipment

And it actually does do much better job. This photo for example was made when I was a bit drunk xD at ISO 400 and F/2.8 and it looks quite good =) Just to throw out there there is 2 more examples from everyday life (F/8) (Read - I was asked by my parents to shoot some flowers). And BTW...

How did they film the Sl65 Black intro in Top Gear 13x03

IMO it's a combination of real filming (car) and 3D (light trails, reflections, lightning and probably a car in some shots..). Or it's a weird animation of still light graffiti... So I'd bet it's digital effect.

    Your Camera Equipment

I've been long gone on the forums lately, so I thought I'll post some of my thoughts and wonders about new lenses I've bought a bit while ago (2 months to be precise). First up I bought a Tamron SP AF 17-50 F/22.8 XR LD Aspherical IF (Tamron has a bit of mess of a name...) to change my kit...

No 56k: Just came back from "Moscow City Racing"

Hey people xD There will be another event this year. And probably a bit bigger then last one. We will probably get free tickets again, so expect some shots this year too. BTW since I got much better lenses (Tamron 17-50 2.8 and full frame Tamron 75-300 4-5.6) this time, hopefully they wont be...

    Forums now powered by nginx

IMO nginx will do the trick. At least forums will work trough TG madness, they may be really slow, but AFAIK they will work. Since all the high load web sites I know use it basically because of this. Judging from the graphs, squid is doing a very good job at saving resources. There's 3 times...

Which Top Gear spin-off is better: Russia or Australia?

Probably.. but.. I dunno.. I was speaking (mostly underdtanding) english fairly well since I was nine y.o... It's quite hard for me to imagine.. but probably.. dunno.. TGUK even if I cant understand it would make better impression than TGR.. I mostly just cant stand Fomenko and Kuchera, cant see...
