As stated before, cooling down the turbo by idling the engine isn't too healthy either. You need to drive slow (like with a cold engine) so it can still breath and the air will help the cool the oil.
You're right, BUT the thing is that the turbo's on diesel engines aren't that big (they're actually very little), and don't have to work too hard (diesel engines aren't sporty, low rpm,...). So it doesn't matter THAT much on diesel engines.
There's a thread with a picture of a truck full of ferrari's. The F50 on that picture is one of them (didn't know about the quantity though)
Edit: This thread, and it has been mentioned there already.
Letting the turbo's cool down with an idling engine isn't healthy either. You just need to drive easy when cooling down the turbo's.
And what worries me most is that those press cars aren't broken in. I'm even scared that they drive them hard when the engine is still cold.
The octane ratings are different in Europe and US (Canada prob too). Something with using the average of 2 rates in the US and using the highest rate in Europe. Don't know it for shure, but the numbers aren't the same.
It's not 100% correct anymore. It's too old. (look at MG, Lotus,...)
And I don't know if they're going to build an 600hp version. They have to think about the competition with the gallardo (even though that's more murci territory). There are rumours about a V10 diesel version though. This is...
Can't really talk too much about it, since it was an impression for a magazine. I'm also not used to driving these kind of cars, but it's one hell of a car for sure.
