Eh, I wouldn’t go that far. I know the 5.7 MDS Hemis have issues, I think we don’t have enough sample size yet on the 6.4. Oh, and MDS is only equipped to those with an automatic transmission, mine’s a manual. I was just pulling your leg... never once occurred to me you didn’t like it before...

It only took 13 years.... New Nissan Z

Wouldn't be the first time Nissan carried a stylistic flourish over from previous generations as a nod to their own history, though. If I'm wrong, and this isn't an all new car (except, uh, for the chassis), I'll buy you a donut. Twelve, even.

Nope, clean sheet design, and brand new engine, turbocharged

It only took 13 years.... New Nissan Z

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a34016940/nissan-z-proto-revealed/ How did this not come up in here already? My opinion, fix the grill, make sure it has real music from the pipes and not from the speaker (say hello, Supra). Keep it below 40k Canadian. Not for me, but I dearly hope it...

Ownership Verified: CraigB's Correct-Wheel-Drive Lesbaru (2013 Subaru BRZ)

Is this car going to be the proverbial village bicycle? Is everyone gonna get a ride (or in this case, ownership)? Kidding aside, nice gets, Craig!

FWIW, Europe is getting a 310-hp R version (and a wagon) for 2021. Not more cylinders, however, just an uprated 4 cylinder turbo. Both side of the Atlantic get the new corporate steering wheel, central infotainment (see Mk 8 GTI), a changed digital gauge cluster and some mild styling changes...

    Random Thoughts... [Automotive Edition]

I actually did drive one, and that's what made me want it. I drove it and a Stinger on the same day to see if I could cure myself of the Audi want. The Stinger was enjoyable, but like I said above, it did nothing for me. The Arteon, however, despite having a 4 cylinder, and despite having zero...

Speaking of Nissan, I can't believe no one posted in the automotive news section about the 400Z.... I thought just blurting out I wanted a VW would cure of me trying to finish my current blog, and spare you all from reading a rather bloated, rambling piece. Fuck it, I'll have to get it done and...

You really are a self-loathing American, aren't you? It's not who builds the NA Passat that makes it a crap car, it's Wolfsburg telling VW NA what product they're gonna get.

It's not a North American Passat. That car is VW's middle finger to our market. Stinger is undeniably a good car, but I just didn't click with it. It has good performance... but the soundtrack is 100% fake (it makes almost no noise on the outside). People think it's a good looking car.... I say...

It was six months, actually.... not even a couple of years, but I digress. EDIT: guess I better not tell you this would involve trading in the Challenger....

I'm thinking I'd like an Arteon. Someone please tell me this is a stupid idea.

I'll definitely write something up as soon as I have a moment. Good thing I kept my notes! But for now, I'll say this: B8.5 RS5 B9 S5 RS3 Arteon Stinger GT AWD Feel free to guess what I thought of them. Damn skippy.

Salutations, bitches. I’m in deep shit with my wife, who caught me cheating...... . . . . . . . . . . .. on the SRT 392, with a bunch of German (car) models, no less! Who’s ready for a new round of road test reviews? (Ok, there was also a Korean in there. I’m such a slut)

News: Porsche 718 (Boxster & Cayman)

You’ll have to fight me for it. Actually, no. Don’t get me wrong, this car is AWESOME and if I were in the market now for a Porsche this would be the one I’d go for, but having owned my GTS for nearly 5 years now (wow...) I can say that short of a track day, the long gearing with 340 hp (yes...

The 'I don't like Tesla' Thread

Yup. Been expecting that for a while now. Surprised it hasn’t happened in North America more yet. Related story: I have a good friend and colleague who drives a Leaf (hey, it’s not mine!), and two other docs in the same complex have Tesla Model Esses. They want the strata to pay for recharging...

I can’t speak for your colleagues, but if I did that with one of mine, there would be a new spate of forest fires here on the west coast.

Travel question for the FG hive mind: Hotel vs Hostel

My wife and I used to use “hostel” to save some money on long trips - in quotes because we always made sure they were places with private, lockable rooms. Conceptually, I don’t mind (it worked fine for Barcelona), but after one particular Japanese town (Kanazawa), I had enough between the...
