Fuel? Where we’re going, we won’t need fuel! ==>NooDle’s eGolf

Thats plan B for now. Dealer is currently looking for keys that will unlock the bolts. If they cant be located I’ll have the tyre fitter remove them by force if needed....

Balls. Locking wheelnuts and no key to be found. I’m quite sure I never received them. So back to the dealer I guess... with worn front tyres....

Fuel? Where we’re going, we won’t need fuel! ==>NooDle’s eGolf

A bit of bad news, getting ridiculously poor range currently... 2 charges where I got no further than 130 and 160 kms without needing a top up... Yeah I did a lot of motorway miles, and yeah it's windy and snowy and 1 degree but still, annoying. Not gotten stuck yet because I planned ahead and...

Sure. I'm free next weekend, could you deliver?[emoji2957] I really really really like strong regen as a default because you can drive using only 1 pedal. The golf coasts as standard znd everytime I get in it, I need to activate the regen manually. It's such a natural thing now that I nearly...

Quite. Although it took them just 2 days [emoji3525]. Now I want a Tesla. I already did, but now even more so. Oh well atleast I set a new record in that Mario kart style game it has preinstalled

Small dent in the door means I am without an eGolf for a few days. Dunno how it happened but ot seems another driver opened their door too vigourously. I've had worse replacement cars than this though

First impression : actually a bit too hot for comfort. It does automatically switch off after a while, and alsi has a hi/lo setting. Will experiment further. Also it's not nearly cold enough for a proper test. It's supposed to be winter and it's 10 degrees outside

Fuel? Where we’re going, we won’t need fuel! ==>NooDle’s eGolf

It's the main reason why winter and summer range is so massively different for ev's. That, and that batteries don't like extreme cold. I'm getting 'only' 180kms on a full charge compared to 220-250 in summer. Not a massive difference, but noticable nonetheless. Fyi the exact same thing happens...

Fuel? Where we’re going, we won’t need fuel! ==>NooDle’s eGolf

Let me correct myself. The heater is very good if you put it on full blast, but it does use like 50 kms of range if you do. Since heating the seats has a much faster effect (you only heat the area in contact with you, and not all the air in the car) this takes up a lot loss energy. Sometimes you...

Fuel? Where we’re going, we won’t need fuel! ==>NooDle’s eGolf

I did an upgrade of sorts. Since it's coldish and I don't really have a good heater, I've got myself one of those heated seat cover thingies. Will report back when it gets colder bur seems to work just fine. Hope it doesn't drain my 12v battery as it's needed to use the big battery, but I'm not...

Yeah this this still confuses me aswell. but, no cats sleeping on the bonnet, so less risk of scratches. With regards to servicing, I doubt they'll offer courses, because to my understanding the biggest part of the maintenance is checking the battery with some software you won't be able to use...

Fuel? Where we’re going, we won’t need fuel! ==>NooDle’s eGolf

First service done... 107€ for some tyres/brake checks, filling up the windscreen washer fluid and doing some software updates. Seems fair? I have no frame of reference with these things :dunno: Getting below freezing now, which means a dip in range as isnto be expected. Currently getting...

Ownership Verified: The wait was long enough: leviathan's Tesla Model 3 Performance

It all depends. Let‘s not forget that most parked for 80-90% of the time. We just installed a whole bunch of chargers at work, so I don’t really need to charge at home. As in, ever. I know, once we have tons more EVs on the road this will become a problem, but for now and the years to come, I...

Ownership Verified: The wait was long enough: leviathan's Tesla Model 3 Performance

I've been asked this too since I went electric and the answer is never. I have a very slow home charger but even then, a couple of hours is plenty to get it half full, and I do need atleast 5-6 hrs of sleep anyway which is plenty. You just need to remember to plug it in every day. It really is a...

Thats awesome consumption/range for a car that size. My Golf usually is around 130/150 Wh/km but I mainly do either gridlocked highways or B roads where you rarely go over 70 kph. As soon as I hit a highway at highway speed (120, because 130 kills my range) I'm around 180 Wh/km. Mine does 156...

Fuel? Where we’re going, we won’t need fuel! ==>NooDle’s eGolf

Despite being driven by magic and silence, at the end of the day my eGolf is not immune to everyday issues... Like punctures Tyre guys managed to patch it quite fast though, not even a new tyre needed. So even when there's a problem, it's uneventful and boring [emoji13]

Fuel? Where we’re going, we won’t need fuel! ==>NooDle’s eGolf

The future of motoring will be electric and self driving, so you won't need to worry about watching the road, looking out for other road users, etc. It'll be awesome to just get in a car completely and utterly hammered, and tell it to "get me home" and it will. There'll still be people who...

The "Things that annoy me" thread

True, but when there's no roadsign to be seen, and there's no one around to match speed with, I like to have a general idea of what the limit is. It's usually a lot lower than what I would normally drive, because of reasons. Also also, Belgian lawmakers are utter bastards, I know of a stretch...

The "Things that annoy me" thread

Belgium is no better, we have a trillion roadsigns everywhere and the limit can go from 70 to 90 to 50 within a couple of minutes driving on the same road. Gps/Waze is the only way to be sure...
