I really loved the Spain episode from last week, but this episode was a bit of a disappointment. Not a HUGE disappointment mind you, it was nowhere near as bad as the iEagle Thrust episode or the India special, as the writing did seem to have wit and charm at least. But the Hovercraft skit did...

Not a bad episode to me, but it isn't very standout either. I don't regret watching it, but I don't see it becoming a hit in reruns and rewatching. It will just be one of those episodes that fades into history, rarely recalled.

Always nice to see the Caprice featured in Top Gear! It even had an interior near identical to the one I drive! Well, emphasis on "had". I don't mind the gimmick-heavy episodes myself, as I tend to like Top Gear better when it has a strong focus on individual cars, rather than a brand new car...

Seeing that Suzuki Automotive recently pulled out of the US, my big brochures for the 2011 Grand Vitara, SX4, and Equator may become much more interesting. After all, they were practically the only advertising Suzuki seemed to put out for their cars in the States.

Not bad, not bad at all. Had a few pacing issues perhaps, but overall it was a decent watch. Quite liked the field tests in this episode as well, especially the water hose test.

Some excellent Top Gear tonight, well worth the watch! I quite enjoyed the hosts' enthusiasm for their cars, as well as the much improved camera work. I can only hope that the rest of the series follows the same trend!

Clarkson never really seemed anti-american to me. He ribs often on the States, yes, but he ribs on EVERYONE, including himself. Generally, I find that sort of ribbing more tolerable when it has bit of self-depreciation added to the mix.
