The Trump Presidency - how I stopped worrying and learned to love the Hair

Maybe not intentional but I saw a parallel to the former Soviet mouthpiece TASS in this.

Or just does a cursory google search for their specific talking point and doesn't even click through to the links. Ten seconds on Duffel Blog should make it clear it's a satire site. Then again they just love eating the onion.

    Let's have a laugh

These two traitors are actually local to my area. The reporting says the husband had asked her not to go to DC and she did it anyways. She and the guy she went with were arrested at the end of January, he filed for divorce in early February. I'm sure it was a strain for a while for her to jump...

    The General Motorbikers Discussion Thread

It's slowly getting warmer, so the battery went back in the bike and I took it for a short ride. Pretty soon, I'm going to get a top case for it so I have somewhere to put my helmet when I stop somewhere for a bit. But before that, anyone have recommendations on smartphone holders? I've so far...

Y'know how car fuel efficiency is measured as miles per gallon/liters per 100km? The measure of the US tends to be war crimes per corporate bailout.

Breaking news: Republican flies in the face of the entire reason humans created governments in the first place, resigns in anger when he finds out not enough people are as craven an asshole as him.

I do honestly think they would only have changed their minds if a Republican Congressperson had been killed.

That requires 17 Republicans to gain a moral compass. If it happens, I will be very surprised. My optimistic guess is the final tally will have about 4-6 Republicans vote to convict.

The supporters would be alright with that, sadly, since they don't view birthright citizenship as correct.

This is how I understand it, too. As he is no longer president, Trump is not running afoul of the Emoluments Clause. I forget the details, but at least one if not both of the cases dismissed were asking for the court to order Trump to divest from his interests while acting as President. In that...

Some drop the charade and return to reality, some off themselves, some go postal. Keep that in mind the next time a McVeigh makes themselves known.

    The Biden Years

Again with that Paris/Pittsburgh thing. He obviously wasn't paying attention to the local backlash when Trump pulled out of the Agreement saying he represented "Pittsburgh, not Paris" and garnered a lot of hate here because we didn't vote for him and the local yokels that did don't like Pittsburgh.

Yeah they're all pretty solid. Particular favorites of mine were the Census one, cutting the border wall funding off, and reversing the Muslim ban. The white nationalists can suck a fat one.

There must be balance. The laws used to say "Oriental" and "Negro" as well, and updating those likely were seen as a mere political change by some, but it was necessary as the terms went from just plain part of the language to racially charged. This House act is the flip side of the coin...

Perhaps we read different clauses, then, as the one you bring for discussion forces nothing and punishes nothing, it just changes the text of existing House rules in the name of inclusiveness (and, I would argue in the specific text of Rule XXIII's clause 8(c)(3), takes an unnecessarily large...
