Y'know, I'm pretty sure the TGUK haven't tackled this one -- but they probably will. Hammond in VW Beetle vs. James in Morris Marina vs. Jeremy in Toyota Corolla.

Dammit! I'm going to really be in TG withdrawal now that both shows are off-air for some time. Well, at least this show helped me crash a bit slower after TGUK's last series ended.
Series 18 starts on BBCAmerica next week, as well as Hamster's new show. I know you've already seen the series, but it should help withdrawal symptoms a bit.
Is it confirmed that they are back for another season?? Top Gear America deserves to keep on going! They are really starting to set themselves apart with their own uniqueness that is entertaining. I actually now look equally forward to watching a TGUSA episode like I do the TGUK.
Great finish to the season. Didn't lose interest the entire episode, not a dull moment. I was surprised they let Tanner drift around the R8 and Lambo. Wouldn't see that on TGUK!
Well, it wasn't about the danger to Tanner. However, there was risk of damage to the cars. No matter what the physical speed of the Noble was, you still have to be stepping on it to make the back tires keep spinning. Any hesitation, and the tires can hook, causing loss of drift control. I mean I know Tanner knows what he's doing, but I was just nervous for him watching that.
Well, Tanner did the speed run at the former RAF Bruntingthorpe*, which is where everyone goes in Britain for speed runs due to that 1.7 mile runway (and it was a former US/UK facility; I flew into there once on military transport when I was still in service in Europe). I don't know if they did pick-up shots at Dunsfold, but they might have.
Anyone else think that the auctioneer stole the episode? Great performance.
* - ETA: That's where Tanner did the speed run in the Morgan in Season 1.
ETA II: I just noticed that this was Post Number 911 for me. Very apposite given the events of earlier today. RIP, Butzi.
