Nah, after showing it to my father, he was pretty sure it was Grimstad...

sorry for being stupid guys (don't shoot the newbie) but where can i download this episode from (what torrent)? 700 MB sounds great!

I usually record it on Tuesday but for some reason Sky+ has failed me this week. There don't seem to be any new files in the download section for a couple of months.

Won't shoot you, but it has to do with a "nice" mail Viper got from BBC, so no downloads here. But I think if you look in the IRC-channel you will find what you'r looking for ;)

For the official name, they made a compromise. ?resundsbron.
Sounds very swedish to me, but then it isn't the first time in history you danes has lost something to the swedes... :p

Very swedish - except from the fact that it starts with a letter that DOESN'T EXIST IN SWEDISH! ;)

Btw. the traffic on the bridge is mostly Swedes comming to Denmark. To buy beer :p

I won't talk bad about Norway, since many Norwegians are extremely proud of their country, and would probably be hurt. ;)

I don't like nationalism anyway. And I don't feel proud or ashamed about what Danes I don't know or are related to, do or did before I was born.

I used to hate James but he's vastly improved this season. You can tell he's copying Clarkson's style but that's not so bad.

Thanks, found the link now and downloading. I nearly cried when I sat down to watch it and it wasn't there. TG is my favorite tv programme of the week (don't really watch much TV) and I have to watch it.

I still like even though they were very nasty about my pride and joy!! But hey, it's entertainment and highly biased so I don't listen to thier opions on much!

damn! that was one of the best episodes ever.. they need more of these races!

this episode of top gear is the best one so far this season. it's amazing that McLaren were able to make such a German auto sound so much like a British Spitfire, arguably the greatest fighter aircraft of the WWII period!

as for James May picking the pace up, i reckon he has always been a good presenter however, he is now becoming a great presenter.

as for the indian fellow stating that the mondeo is the best looking car takes a stretch of the imagination that i am completely unwilling to make. there is a saying that i think fits perfectly "opinions are like a*#holes, everyone's got one."

can't wait for the next episode!

4,000 rpm, drop the hammer and it's off to the races! 8)

very nice episode but somehow I just think the Ferrari vs. plane race to Switzerland was better... this one wasn't as exciting for some reason. and I'm surprised JC didn't say anything about the Ford GT, maybe he'll mention it this coming episode

what more can they do?
Car vs Buss? Car vs Metro? Car vs Horse?

Anything, even around the world faster than a snail around the room, if you want...

gasp! what is this? both of you, enlighten me on this losing out to the swedes. I always thought that part of the world was pretty much neutral throughout recent history. what did norway do? what did denmark do? oh dear...

^My 7th grade history is a bit far away, but a loooooong time ago, a big part of Sweden and Norway were under rule of the danish king.
But now we're all friends, we visit them to go skiing, they come to us for beer :D

Norway used to belong to Denmark.
After the battle of Leipzig 1813 in the Napoleon war, the Swedish heir to the throne (who was the commander of the troops) turned his army againt Denmark.
On the 14th of January 1814 the peace at Kiel was negotiated and Sweden got Norway from Denmark (Denmark got the the Swedish part of Pommern and R?gen).

Norway was not happy with this union with Sweden. Understandably they wanted their own supremacy...
On the 17th of May (now Norway's big national holiday) they established their own constitution and elected Denmark's prince as king of Norway.
Sweden would have none of that though, and after a short military action (Sweden's last "war") the union was forced on Norway.
On November 4th 1814 the Swedish king Karl XIII was proclaimed king of Norway.

It was a pretty weak union though as Norway never was really into it, and in 1905 the union was disbanded.
There was a vote in which 368208 Norwegians voted for the disbandment, and 184 voted against it.
In October 1905 the treaty was signed by the foreign ministers of both countries and Norway was Norway.

So there we go...
Norway was Danish, then Swedish and then Norwegian. :)
