downloading......its probably not a good sign I'm the first one to reply

Nope, 10 per series I believe, so that'd make this Monday the last.

This episode was crap :( . The shootout was really unneccesary, although I was a bit surprised to see the BMW win. I don't care about what Britains most prestigious car is or Citr?ens in general. Good thing a guy got his dream job, but I don't care about that either.

Not a great ep but not a bad one either. As much as I hate to see Tiff power sliding his way around the track it was pretty cool to see him get the X5 sideways.

The engineer thing was pretty interesting, but the section on the prestigeous (?sp) cars was just crap.

The best part of this show had to be Vicky trying out the lane change safety feature, I can just see thousands of women buying this car and then weaving all over the road at 50+ mph just to get the seat to vibrate.

Yeah, this episode was rather boring, but form the preview of the next one it looks like Tiff will finally be doing his usual business with the M5, something he has not done in God knows how long!!!

Thanks for sharing. This episode was ok. 1 day and 15 hours to go till Top Gear.

I wanted to know more about F1 ideas of the applicants and less about their character.

The most prestigious car thing was a joke.

i don't think this episode is boring at all. always fun to watch the 5th gear. thanks vuk and other people who make this happen.

K

P.S- Damn....i wanna work for any F1 team at the moment. wonder they need a recent computer science grad. :|

Rofl! Vicki seemed to like it.

1: VW passat .. a prestigious car?
2: Lexus IS200 .. the Outgoing modell .. NOT the new one.. that was not even mentiond

A brand new Audi A4,, a brand new VW passat and a brand new BMW 3series..
and a ... old Lexus IS ..

The probelm with Lexus is that they're still perceieved as a glorified Toyota with excellent after sales service. I don't think they will ever shake that perception because basically it's true. The same goes for Audi being upmarket VWs too. Especially here in Australia where equivalent VWs such as the Passat are priced nearly the same as an A4 and the fact that they are both aimed squarely at the prestige market.

It's pretty typical that the Jaguar won, it being British and all. For me Mercedes will always be the most prestigous with probably Jaguar second. Mercs just have a snob appeal that just can't be matched. BMWs just don't do it for me as a prestige car. By talking about sheer driving pleasure and things like that they knock themselves down a peg in prestige terms because that's not what prestige is about IMO.

What I also thought was really ammusing was how he talked about people not wanting to own a Ford Mondeo when they could have one of the others instead, when the Jaguar X-Type is actually based on the Mondeo.

yeye .. but that old fart did make a point to say that the passat was new.. but did not say .. og even hint at that there is a New Lexus Is kommer on sale this summer..
(that is NOT sold as a toyota in japan :p)

Anyone else thinks that this survey would become totally different if they could choose 1st, 2nd and 3rd?
