How does the Mustang having a solid axle make it rubbish? It is a muscle car that can handle somewhat well(the $25,000 Mustang did not fall to far behind the over $50,000 Lotus) and is really built for fun and the street.

note on episode sizes

My sincere apologies if someone else has already mentioned this; I'm a bit under the weather, so I may well have missed it, but I wanted to add this to the 450 MB size issue: Two of those files won't fit on one CD-R, whereas two 350 MB files will. I must say, I do like the higher quality, and CDs are inexpensive, so if there is always a 700 MB, it's probably better to just get that one; but resizing the 450 MB to 350 MB will probably result in a lower-quality 350 MB file. I watch the show on a 100" projection, and the 350 MB is fine; not great, but good for television. 700 MB is a lot nicer, but 450 MB didn't really look all that different. OTOH, I watched it while sick....

^ well as mentioned, 10 450mbs fit well on ONE dvd. it would allow for you to have one season on a DVD without much wasted space.

That episode was gold.

Surprised the Mustang did as well as it did. But then again, it did have a Stig at the wheel.

It has a solid rear axle, enough said.

Well, that solid read axle keeps the car cheap, helps it go fast at a green light, which muscle cars are supposed to do, and actually since it's not as light as some other systems and they spend a lot of time and money improving the system to what it is, it proving to be pretty effective.

Since the vast majority of Mustangs sold are the V6, they are going to average consumers...everyday people who just drive them to work and the grocery store and probably don't even know that their car is RWD, rather then FWD, or what difference that would even make. Plus, the SRA is more durable, and actually leads to longer tire life due to more even wear. May 13th, 2006 at the U.S. sports car invitational at Laguna Seca, in the Grand Am Cup, a 2005 Mustang GT got 5th, only being beaten by Porsches, and some M3s. It's average speed was only 1mph behind. those...a Mustang also took the 11th spot, with the only vehicles beating it were, again, Porsches and BMW M3s.
Oh, I agree the Mustang GT is a great car. And it's amazing how well Ford got the Stang to handle with the solid rear. I mean, it handles better then a LS2 Pontiac GTO with it's 4wheel independent suspension and I'm a GM guy and it pains me to say that. I just wanted to point out that the Mustang wasn't a hardcore sports car and I used the solid rear to emphasize that point. As good as the Stang is, you have to admit that they could have improved the handling with an IRS.

heheh maybe he is biased, and I am too because I hate emerican cars. they are for big fat people.

though I agree with him, its not me. I still think the mustang AND z06 are rubish and would never ever get them, for ANY reason.

in my mind the ideal is

daily family car - VW GTI MKV ...deff doesnt drive as nice as the miata, but the interior is nice and its reliable, fun, pratical etc.

daily driver for myself - miata. amazingly fun. best value for the money. you can easily customize it, its reliable, looks nice (that doesnt count) etc..

track car - atom or exige. sure the z06 is faster than the exige...but drive a heavy car and a light one and you will see how much better the lighter one is. unless ofcourse, you want comfort/luxury

I like anything that drives like the mini (original mini) I also hate big cars. so to me, z06 and the stang are rubbish. yall americans say what you want, but what you do best is eat fast food, not make cars. speaking of fast food, id love a BK right about now
