well, what is there to say? bentley > no conclusion, CCR> not tested, 24hr race > mostly done in the night so I cant see and shootout was bike vs car.

BOO!! I have SO BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO A CCR TEST. man, I hope what you are saying is at least only half true.. CCR is what dreams are made of... Damn.
 
OMG That really was very very very crap. why show us a test of a car that dont work, tell us about it yes but dont show us. the 24 hour race sort of reminded me of when clarkson drove tht audi to scotland and back on 1 tank of fuel i.e taking the piss out of 24. Bently bit crap no way was that charger going all out barley moved of the line! PLEASE GOD MAKE TOP GEAR START!!! :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown:
 
ahh shit, sorry about that spoilerness in the other thread.

as for the episode, I missed the first parts but I saw the westfield vs the random bike. again.... RACE THE DAMN THINGS! top gear did it with the atom, why not fifth gear?

the koen. koenseggigg,,,,, the CCR test was possibly the most ridiculous piece. If you're gonna test a car, don't come back without having tested the damn thing.

The silverstone 24 hours race was probably the best thing I've seen on fifth gear. Fuckin loved tiff's rant.

but for god sake somebody slap plato, give vicki's voice some character, and keep tiff away from all forms of technology.
 
Quite liked Tom's Bentley review... It certainly had some amusing bits in it.

The 24 hour race wasn't bad, but yeah, shame it was mostly at night. Tiff's rant was great.
The thing I really didn't get though - why Tiff and Vicki??? Surely Plato would've been a better choice than Vicki - seeing as he's a BTCC driver and all?!?!

Shootout: crap...

Koenigseggggg: Probably worst and most pointless review so far this season...

Overall, really not a great ep... Shame. :(

Absolutely useless show now. Their attempt to make it look like some kind of newsfloor show have reduced the show to "bloody irritating" - like Watchdog. This show used to have some air of professionalism about it - all gone now.

VBH has packed on the weight in the off season, meaning that squinting doesn't even make her attractive any more.

Top Gear is just getting better and better, whilst this thing is a car crash waiting to happen.

If I remember correctly, the two other drivers in their team were both racers... perhaps they were 'retired' racers - can't really remember. Just remember them both being mentioned as racers of some sort.

Though what you suggest is possible...
 
I?m from Sweden, very close to the Koeniggsegg factory so I?m a bit biased but still.

I don?t quite believe that the Koeniggsegg is that bad. I dunno, just didn?t feel right =).

The episode overall wasn?t that good either, talking to those DJ:s , the race was?t very exciting to watch and tha bike vs car thing,, well, not so interesting. I think they need more consistency if you know what I mean. Doing things the same way, so that you can compare the cars they test better.

and.. what the hell was that with the charger?!?! Like Mcmerc SLR said, noway it was going flat out.
 
Yeah, shame about the CCR. Couldn't they retest it the next day? When personal mechanic has arrived and fixed the car? :)

Plato's bit was so random. A8, Mini, 944, could you possibly pick more different cars? These are the only interesting cars for 8000? And he didn't even say about cars much... pointless.

Yeah, and Tom Ford is the best presenter in Fifth Gear.

omg. How unproffesional and how fucking disrespectful towards us viewers to promote an episode about the Koenigsegg and not even bother to test it. My god. And Tiffs biase towards his beloved McLaren is disgusting, obviously he wants to suck up in order to afford maintaining the damn thing.

Bike - I love the 1k gixxer.

Ok.
First off. My apologies if I said some were jerks towards Vicki. Indeed, she can't drive for crap. The Westfield (against the bike) was erratic at best.
The bikes comments were downright idiotic. The gsxr is easier to put the power to the ground because being an inline-4, it has less low-end grunt and more linear power. And first thing any rider does is adjust the suspension ... because on bikes, 140lbs or 180lbs of rider makes a world of difference.

Now the Koenigsegg test. They should feel ashamed of themselves. Plain and simple. Yes the clutch failed (just like the Koenigsegg in the Gumball 3000 a couple years back ... interesting coincidence), and yes that is bad for Koenigsegg. Ok. That is one point. But not bothering actually driving the car? That's just disrespectful towards viewers and towards all the guys at Koenigsegg. It just shows they don't give a shit about it. I would love to hear all about it, because they just can't be such low-lives. FG Crew, you better step it up and explain yourselves. Until then, I will enjoy slapping Mr Needell across the face whenever I get a chance. They could have commented "unfortunately TV deadlines forced us to go back home before we could test it ..." or some thing ... but no, a ridiculous "it's crap, I like my McLaren better". Rude.

Flying Spur part was great. I liked the drag race, the DJs commenting, and the VIP thing. Perhaps because I can relate to the "a nice car will let you in anywhere" ... but I liked it!

Now why did Plato had to do that stupid "car for 8 grands" part I dunno ... perhaps because he had too much fun driving the Zonda F ... but that part was lame.

Overall ... well ... the CCR test just threw me over the top. the FG crew is not only boring, but they are just rude, selfish and arrogant. No props from me. :x

Sorry, I'm just pissed they had the nerve to not test the CCR ... and yet say it was a pos.
 
Have to chime in here. First of all: JUDGE JULES :thumbsup:. That was awesome. Love Judge Jules' sound.

Good episode. Looks like Tiff is trying tooo hard to be JC though. It isn't going to work.

Tom Ford. What can I say. He started out being hated by everyone and now everyone loves him. Awesome bit with him and I can't believe he got away with them being waved through at the last venue. :lol:

Koenigsegg: Yeah I just don't like that car. To me the proportions are way off. But like the sales guy said, people that buy this car are ready for the breakdowns. Remember, these cars are still in its first stages so there will be lots of bugs. Yes they didn't show the whole review but the fact that the salesman stated that people buy these cars anyways tells you something.

The Shootout: What can I say. I wish we had street legal cars like that over here and the GSXR braking heavily into one corner sideways...just awesome 8). And I'm not a bike fan at all.

24H Race: Tiff's frustration. Every racing driver is like that. I don't blame him one bit. It was definitely very enjoyable to see a basically stock drivetrain Honda Accord EuroR go 24 hours straight in the high RPM range. Amazing. That is the Acure TSX over here since the Accord over here is something totally different.

But yeah, enjoyed the episode very much.
 
^^^its basically the TSX, but the Euro R has the good Type R engine as seen in the Integra Type R and the Civic Type R. The TSX just has a tuned 4cyl engine from a regular accord i think...but it still has a very high redline...its just that it lacks the power and the torque of the Type R unit.
 
I remember why i didn't bother downloading last season of 5th Gear now...
this show is just trash...i've seen the first 3 episodes and to me, everyone on that show just acts like a dick, like they are better than everyone else and the fact that they keep trying to put down topgear is just low class...

i don't care if they have better drivers, their attitudes and their reviews suck...
