If you've seen it, discuss. :)

the bugatti was in this ep?

Maybe it won the award for Best Supercar or something..I don't usually trust people with <5 posts..

Nope, maybe next year, because this episode was the last off this year and season.

Porsche Boxster best car off the year? A car for midlife crises age men that don't have enough money for a proper Porsche (911). (Captian "sleepy" Slow bought one)

My pick; Honda Civic

The airfield where Tiff tested the three cars looked a lot like the TG field. The side-to-side slaloming down the runaway looked TG-ish too. But then again, I guess all airfields look similar.

Overall, I was entertained by the episode...

But tell me this, why at 37:54(the BMW 3 series nomination) did the editor superimpose the Zonda F? That just seemed really random and like a mistake in editing.

This episode was pretty good. All the segments are pretty interesting. The old M3 vs Lancia is pretty cool. They should pick the Zonda F as car of the year and just give away a Civic (again).

Pretty good episode, but I have to agree with other posters that Plato is getting a bit annoying. He's pessimistic about everything and I think a bit too picky. I agree with that the you should be able to turn off the ESP in the Lambo, but he goes from saying he would never buy it to raving about how great it would be to borrow for a weekend.

Favorite part had to be when they presented the award for the M5. That guys attempt at humor was craking me up. It was almost like he was trying to be unfunny. Well I gues that's what you get from a German engineer!

I fully agree.
I am a die hard German car fan and currently drive my beloved 1981 Scirocco S daily but that Civic really does draw me to it.

Tho' this is my first post (I've been in stealth mode for about a year) I guess I need to establish some respect first as mentioned above. :|

 to the new Civic.

This episode was quite good, I liked Plato's review of the Gallardo SE, and Tiff's car speed-dating. Vicky wasn't around that much, and I found that somewhat enjoyable.
Tom really cracks me up, at the awards he's wearing a blazer and cargo pants, something I only thought Clarkson could do and his comment after the Gallardo segment "I'm not a racing driver and I hate you all!"
(The Plato should be an award for people that buys crummy used cars....)

I can't believe Tiff has an ML320... he of all people.

HE WHAT?!! I can't believe that, what a surprise.

Still havnt watched episode...waiting for VUK rip

So is the Gallardo SE totally pointless? Is there not one thing that it has over the '06 Gallardo? I have a feeling Playdough was exxagerating a little bit... does it have different wheels or something at least?

That was a good episode all around - I'm glad the Boxster won car of the year, but I think the Zonda should have received the best fast car award. :D

I really enjoyed this episode, in fact I'm willing to say I liked this week's FG better than this week's TG. Totally agree with tloekke, the less Vicki, the better. Tom is getting really good as a host. Hell, I even liked Plato's review of the Gallardo SE.

Yup. Not a great Plato fan, but after seeing JC's "non-review" of the Veyron, seeing Plato actually testing the Gallardo was refreshing.

Tiff's wife owns the ML, he's got an E39 M5 IIRC.

Decent episode, and I'm not suprised by the boxster. The FG staff seem to Looooove porches, and that's the most sensibly priced. Yes, I think they chose a car of the year somewhat based on their budjet for giveaways (though I have to wonder if they make some money on those, since entering the contest costs money...). The MX-5 and FocusST were too cheap to be special enough for the honor, and they already gave those away.

Is it wrong that I don't mind the Bentley segments? wait, don't answer that question...

I also agree about plato being a bit of a whiner. And the F430 isn't "better looking" than the Gallardo, just different taste.

oh yes the F430 IS and will always be a better looking car than the Gallardo. Personally the Gallardo is too small in terms of length when contrasted with its width. The Merciallago on the other hand(however u spell it) is one fine piece of car
