Just seen it and I absolutely loved it! Best episode ever! The friendship between those three makes it so much fun to watch! I'm still smiling.

A great episode...

I just cant wait for next week... damn it we are half way through the season.. :(

That episode was solid gold. Probably the best episode I've seen in a long time!

I was laughing so loud when they kept smashing into May's car.. But then the cow!

I lost my shit, had to pause it and come back when I'd finished laughing. As Andy Willman said in his blog the friendship between the three of them is amazing and really genuine. Made for great TV!

amazing special!

love the names in the credits hehehe...cletus clarkson..instant classic

Brilliant. I actually fell on the floor laughing at one point. My jaw ached, my sides ached and I felt ill. This was Richard's fault. When he was in the pick-up talking about the truckers on the C.B. radio, his American accent and pronunciation of the word "whooore" was too much. I had to rewind the five minutes I missed as I was dying on the floor.

So many other bits made me laugh out-loud - too many to mention. One which has just come to mind was what turned into a running joke of crashing into James's car. The vandalising of his air-con was also pure comedy.

im not a footy fan, and i live in one of the roughest towns in britain.... aside from the usual banter at the matches, i have not heard of fights or fights involving death for a very long time

Yes, a lot of that seems to be in the past in England, fortunately. Now if you were at the UEFA cup tie between the Dutch club Feyenoord and the French club Nancy......

:)

lol the Fat Stig just cracked me up, "He only eats cheese!!!!!!!"

Great episode, very funny, but the thing that worried me the most was the alabama event. I know that they were asking for trouble but the shoted signs and mad mummy just shattered me. What a nation. Certainly not a place I would like to live in. :|

But apart from that the journey looked quite nice. It remembers me of that GumBall 2003 rally. A long car trip. Fabuleous.

Also, the name of that bagdad place and fat Stig was hilarious.

Alright, admit it: you're only saying "Best episode EVAR!!" because Billy Bob Wilman might read this thread and you don't want to hurt his feelings ;)

That said, I enjoyed this episode. Clarkson's car shower, Big Stig and the "man-love rules" slogan on Hammond's truck had me in stitches.
I didn't like the roadkill/dead cow bit though. It wasn't funny at all, it was just cruel and nasty.

What an awesome episode!! Mad Props to the Top-Gear crew for this one!

The Alabama event also had me a bit worried there for a second and the state of N.O. wasn't a suprise as my flatmate comes from there. But all in all it was a exceedingly well edited road-movie of three friends cocking about in the US... The radio stuff was really funny, reminded me of the Grand Theft Auto radiostations :D

Favorite bits:

Robert the well armed persian
BigStig
Cadillac bashing
AC sabotage

:D and I can only repeat what others have said: They have now visited the God-Squad so now they should check what the the convicts are up to: do Australia next! ;)

hammonds imitation of the truckdrivers

"it's raining, i'm going north, and i'm looking for a whore!"

brilliant episode!!!

I demand a road trip through Germany. It's not fair that the US overtook us as the most bashed nation on TG. We want that spot back!

I think we can take it. After all we're the most masochistic nation on earth. We hate our past, ourselves and the future does always look grim to us.

You speak for yourself here...

Anyways, great episode - one of a kind really. I think every season could do with such a "travel report". But I hope it's back to reviewing cars next week.

Exactly, but unfortunatly it wouldn't be that funny! We don't have so many idiots around, it would never be as good as this. The Alabama incident beside, this episode had so many great bits. 8)

They could drive a ANTIFA Van through a Nationalbefreite Zone. I think the result wouldn't differ too much. ;)

This has got to be the best episode of top gear ever to be made. I was laughing to tears half of the time. (I am not saying that because Wilman reads the forums.)

Bah, you already fled the country so there must be some truth to it.

If you haven't noticed we are an exporters nation that involves some relocating ;)

Good episode, but should have been a TG break special, not normal episode in series. Liked that the story was full, not cut to pieces thou.
