Did anyone else notice that when Jermey's camaro is out of gas at the start of the long trip, on the drivers window, it says "needs fuel"? Just thought I'd share.

Hong Kong isn't dangerous? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

I have relatives there. You are sadly mistaken.

I've lived there for 16 years.

Then your experience is much different than that of my relatives or my own.

There are parts of HK I wouldn't enter without a fire team at my back with armored or air support on call.

True, but it would be fun to get them a whole lot of junk post, advertising Gay Pride magazines....
*snigger....

Why doesn't someone call them and ask if the whole incident was staged? It really looks like it was.

Come to think of it, given that the gas station was only a couple of miles at most from the Florida-Alabama border, it does seem to be staged.

I'm only curious about the Alabama incident, was it really a random event or was it scripted?

It was definitely real- you could tell be the reactions of Jeremy, Richard and James- especially when they were driving away. They were terrified.Typical James though- breaking down at the wrong moment;)

Anyways that was a beast of an episode- right up there with the Winter Olympics Special. The cow thing was hillarious:roflmao: and when they kept banging into James car:p

"It's flamin cow mate.":lmao: and another favourite (just after Jezza finds out about the dreaded 79th Street.) "He's wearing cowboy boots... he's gonna be shot!"

I disagree. There are a few things it is very difficult to fake...the look of sheer terror on a man's face is one of them...and Hammond definitely had it when he was wiping the paint off his truck with soda and a rag. Besides, you could hear the rocks pelting the camera crews while they ran away.

Also, if you've never been to a very republican, ignorant, hick, redneck area, you just can't understand how angry these people will get at things like this.

Are you saying the best way to get people to want to watch a TV show is to constantly insult and make exaggerated statements about them? You couldn't show Top Gear on American television because of what Clarkson says, simple as that. And yes, if they came to Germany all the time and talked about the worst places and points in your country and how all Germans are stupid and uneducated, how would that sit with you? All I'm saying is just once I'd like to see them talk about or come to America and not have it turn into another bash everything Americanfest. They come to Germany, talk about the awesome Nurburgring, which it is. They drove to France to talk about the awesome Milau bridge. They go to Italy to talk about Ferrari and Maserati and Alfa. Then they come to America and talk about rednecks and cheese. Do you see what I'm getting at yet? Don't get me wrong, it is funny and I gladly watch it, but they seem to make more of an effort to put us down as opposed to others.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but I got the info on that gas station run by those inbreed hicks.

State Line Pride
32485 Us Highway 90
Seminole, AL 36574
251 946 2080

They must be taught a lesson.

Umm, is anyone else a little taken aback by this? Let's just leave them be, shall we? No sense in anyone doing anything stupid.

I mean, you don't want to go poking sticks into hornets' nests.

MitchellKnight, Is it ok if I use your pic as my sig?

That was an amazing episode.

It would be cool if they did a show in the north sometime, especially the northwest or northern midwest. The whole world knows the stereotypes about the northeast, southeast, south and california, but not much media attention goes to Minnesota or Montana or the pacific northwest. There are still some crazy backwards folks up there too, but at least the scenery is a lot better.

They should go on a road trip all along the Pacific Coast on Highway 1/101, 3 states, beautiful scenery the whole way, even a couple of racetracks to visit (Laguna Seca anyone?).

That would be an absolutely awesome show, a great mix of cultures and different scenery.

Actually, I have been to such areas. This didn't look real. It looked fake as did the Trio's reactions.

The "rock strikes" sounded like foley edits. Real rock strikes do not all sound uniform.

As for people getting angry - you mean like these people in a very Democrat, ignorant, lazy, welfare-baby area?

OldSkoolGP: You do have a point. However you do get the feeling that they genuinely loved the place even with it flaws. And let's not forget that they aren't all warm and cuddly towards us either. Natsav to Poland etc..<br>

the demographics go more or less as follow

a) 2% of smart americans will find the show funny, satirical and will have a good laugh about it.
b) 98% of dumb americans will find the show dumb, stereotypical and will be offended by it.

opposite goes for the european demographics

c) 98% of dumb europeans will find it funny and a VERY VERY true real life depiction of america. They couldn't be happier JC is finally saying what the entire world thinks of americans. IE: They are a bunch of fat ignorant, intollerant slobs who can't build cars.

d) the last remaining european 2%, would have prefered seing something else than the usual jokes (just blown out of proportions). Maybe the real american cars, like the panoz, the saleen, etc.. and real american tracks, watkins glen, Laguna seca, VIR, etc...

guess BBC can't please everyone (and they would probably go after 98% of the audience than 2%)
