General Rules
1. You can only join if you are a serious racer. We are here for fun and we don't need childish wreckers.
2. You need a legal copy of the game. Demo will do for the first couple of races, almost everyone has the full version already. Later on we will be playing the full version online.^
3. If you keep fucking up the race, like forgetting to brake in every corner or anything like that. I'll kick your butt ;-)

Racing Rules

1. If you want to overtake the car in front of you, honk the horn once.
2. If you are being overtaken, go to the either side of the track. just don't be in the way.
3. If you want to let the person behind you know he can overtake you, use the double turn-signal and go to either side of the track.
If you don't have turn-signals mapped, do it.
4. If you see a person behind you that is faster and wants to overtake, let him. Don't ignore him and think you can be faster.
Turn on the blinker and let him pass. You may even want to slow down a bit so you two won't end up in a corner side by side.
5. Don't use other people as a guide-rail in corners. If you can't keep up, don't ruin it for them.
6. If someone accidently hits you and you end up in the grass, don't plan on revenge. Nobody is out to kill your fun.
7. Overtaking in corners is a thing you should decide for yourself, as long as you don't violate rule number 5 it's fine.
Slower cars can take the corner wide so faster people can overtake on the inner side.
8. No alcohol is allowed.
9. Have fun!

I think it would be better if everyone played the demo for 1hr before moving to S1 instead of having 2 seperate servers... it would be much more fun that way with more people ;)

I think I'm gonna play the demo anyway, that GT is really fun and easy to drive compared to the other turbocars.

and btw... how do u guys type while driving?... when I press T... I loose control of the car

I simply wait to get on straight and then put full thorttle on on my joystick and then I have plenty of time to write :)

I think it's fun that way but a dedicated demo server is a good thing too..hated it to get disconnected when the guys moved on to S1.

^Agree, 2 servers is best I think, for now, since not everybody has the full game.

It all depends on who has the ability to host, and if that person wants to host S1 or demo.

I'm for both.

How dedicated servers work? One must have LFS running all the time? Or is there a separate server application (if there is, does it work on linux)? Oh well, I guess I can check it out myself :)

P.S. I can host a full pit now too. Upgraded my connection to 8/1mbit

EDIT: Well, I checked it out... There's a dedicated server app, only for windows though. Some people run it under linux with wine-emulator, but apparently it isn't perfect solution. So I guess I'm not gonna host a dedicated server.

I'm surprised you didn't put my hour in a flashy color so I don't make everyone start 1h early like last week!

Well, that's where dedicated server could be handy. It could be running all the day, and people coming and leaving whenever they like.

Magic! ^^^^

jasonchiu... I thought you stayed up for it... I was talking to you on msn till like 2am... you couldn't stay up for another hour?

Should I try keyboard? Didn't get that line, but erm..NO WAY! ;)

My average lap is between 1.38 and 1.39, I've played with mouse all the time so if I'd switch I'd have to learn it all again..
