[12x08] December 28th, 2008 [Vietnam Special]

Does anybody know what the piano song is when Clarkson is sitting at the bar at the end?

On iPlayer it starts at around timecode 1:10:16.

Thanks!

When they are leaving the village and when Clarkson is talking about his kids buying a bike the song is

Queen Bitch by David Bowie

At 16 minutes is Adagio for Strings, probably by Samuel Barber, but the Tiesto version sounds very similar as well.

This episode had some very bitchin' music.

"Hong Kong" by the Gorillaz starts at 32:09 and again at 37:57
"Purple Haze" by the Jimi Hendrix Experience starts at 36:35 (actually, my Jimi Hendrix knowledge sucks. It's probably Voodoo Child (Slight Return))
"The Name's Bond... James Bond" by David Arnold (from Casino Royale) at 1:03:24 to 1:03:53
1:04:05 to 1:04:14 could be just about any cue from the Diamonds are Forever soundtrack. Part of me wants to say it's "Peter Franks" though.
1:08:18 to 1:08:54 is "Like A Dog Chasing Cars" by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard from The Dark Knight OST.

Also, there was quite a lot of Springsteen ;)

Songs by The Who (approximate times):

10:40 The Real Me
13:10 I've Had Enough
14:00 Magic Bus
31:50 The Punk Meets The Godfather
33:00 Bell Boy

All but Magic Bus are from "Quadrophenia" hence Jezza's reference to his scooter mirrors.

Some songs I heard (approximate times):

08:37 The Doors - "The End"
12:30 The Miracles - "Tracks of My Tears"
14:40 The Who - "Magic Bus"
16:15 Samuel Barber - "Adagio for Strings"
19:00 Bobby Darin "Beyond the Sea"
21:10 The Beach Boys - "Little Honda"
23:50 The Rolling Stones - "Paint It, Black"
27:00 Martha & the Vandellas - "Nowhere to Run"
34:10 Eric Clapton - "Lay Down Sally"
35:30 Wayne Fontana & The Mindbanders - "Game of Love"
52:00 Johnny Cash - "Ring of Fire"
55:20 Stealers Wheel - "Stuck in the Middle"
58:00 The Rolling Stones - "The Last Time"
59:00 The Rolling Stones - "Gimme Shelter"
63:00 Mike Post & Pete Carpenter - "Theme From 'The A-Team'"

The song when they set off on the amphibious bikes is "Flight of the Valkyrie" by Wagner. You may remember it from the helicopter assault scene in "Apocalypse Now," it's used to scare the shit out of the locals.

EDIT - sorry that is Ride of the Valkyrie and it seems someone already mentioned that. whoops.
